Did any Fieros come from the factory with black paint and tan interior? I was just wondering if all paint and interior color combinations were available from the factory. I just painted (almost done) my '87 base model, black. It was gold and has the tan interior. Have I just made my car "rare"?

Gold cars came with tan interior, painting a car a "different" color won't make it rare. You could have painted it green with pink poka dots and it would be just different. The RPO tag says just what was in the car when it was new. You just have a repainted Fiero.

The "rare" part was a joke. Thanks.

Aconesa, thank you. I don't believe I've ever seen one with those colors before. Now that I've done mine, it looks a little unusual. I think it will grow on me. It is what I've wanted for so long. Now I have it and it doesn't seem real, I guess.

Notice the wheels also have gold/tan accents. This was factory also. Gray interior cars had wheels with dark gray wheel accents on this style wheel.

My 87 SE is Black/Tan, but has terrible paint. Since it needs a new paint job, I have been considering a Indy clone conversion. I am a sucker for the Indy.

Rick, you know that black car would look great with a set of the black laced rims!

I've had a black Formula and a black GT with the black lace wheels. Just doesn't really stand out. The 88 GT came factory with Gray interior and Gold wheels. I think the black with Tan interior looks good. Never understood the Yellow Fiero with Gray interior.

My 87 GT came in black with a tan interior. I would post a picture but I have not had any luck loading the Image Poster. For some reason it keeps trying to load it into my Turbo Tax 2006 even though I don't want it to. Oh Well.

My '87 GT came with the tan interior -

It took awhile for me to get used to it, but now I love it.

All the yellow 88 GT's came came with gray interiors and black lace wheels. I would have liked to see one with a beechwood interior and gold wheels. The yellow and gray does not look bad at all, but the black wheels are a pain to keep clean.

Weird this topic came up.
I have a gold 86 S.E soon to be converted to a 87 GT, summertime, {fast bcak clip}I don't want to repaint it gold and don't want to shock anyone when they open the doors.
Has anyone done one in dark metallic green, or a blue or a deep red? Orange? Yellowstone's is one of my favorites in tellow.
Those who know me know I like a clean car with lots of reflection>
It has the beechwood interior
Pictures would be nice with an open door......Thanks..Cliff

I wish mine had the tan interior... BUT, then I wouldn't feel right changing he color - which I intend to do... sometime. In the future. Later. After now.

Yeah.

(I really do love the look of a black car with tan leather interior... it just pops like nothing else)

I didn't ever know about the wheel accents!!! thats cool. I will have to notice that about Fieros (that have stock wheels), I like the stock notchback wheels, always have. I have a GT fastback and i dont like the wheels. But imagine how odd notchback wheels would look on a Gt (fastback)
