Mike Kelley lives in my area. I have been toMike many times . Several times he was asking $50,000.00 and at one time wanted $75,000.00. On e-bay he was offered $39,000.00 and did not accept the offer. At present time it has 400 miles. I wanted to copy the photo albums of the last build, but he only let me photograph the photos. Some are good and some not so good. If someone ever was to buy this Fiero much TLC would be needed as Mike as not taken care of this car as it should be.

I know this is slightly off topic...but yeah it's obvious that Mike Kelly wants top dollar for his car, but I agree it's not being cared for in top dollar condition. I sure as heck would not be DRIVING IT. Not just for the miles, but some idiot could rear end you and there goes most of the value of the car.
Considering he got it for free I would have jumped on that $39K bid, but that's just me.

It would be interesting to hear what Mike has that 88 GT APPRAISED AND INSURED for.
Reminds me of those old guys who have an old Fiero sitting in their yard. You ask what they want for it - they say $1000. You have a look, it's NOT that good but salvagable, so you offer a FAIR $400.
They then tell you again, they want $1000 and they'd sooner let it rot to pieces or send it to the crusher than sell it to you for $400. You then watch it deteriorate into nothing over the years. Guess they go to their grave happy that they didn't let you "rip them off" with what they considered your low bid.
Some people have an attitude where once they "get a number" in their mind, they cannot see any reality beyond that. That's why those "high priced" Fieros, like that Winnipeg Indy ($31,000), Mike's GT ($75,000??) and that Dealer's 88 GT ($40,000) will never be on Barret Jackson where REAL car collectors know the difference between a car's value and who's dreaming (and there's NO Reserve).
If these cars do sell that high, it will be to someone with more money than knowledge about these cars.

Don't forget to add the 143 mile Indy with the "supposed" $49,500 US Dollar offer from Britain.
We keep hearing about this offer. Likely just a rumor or B.S. on either the Seller's part or a "Joker" making the offer on a deal that would never happen?? Maybe related to the guy on Craiglist saying some Fieros will be worth 6 figures in 5 years?

Gentlemen, I have a terrible confession to make........ I bought my first fiero when I was 14, also bought my second (white) fiero when I was 14. I purchased the second because it had gt bumpers on it and I was driving a base 85 coupe that needed gt bumpers. So I bought the car (which had been sitting for 8 years) and began tearing it apart. In the process I looked at the door sticker which had a 1/84 production date which confused me because the car was a "gt", but it didn't say gt anywhere on it. The thing that really bugged me was the darn red carpet. I hated that carpet so I didn't even bother to pull it from the car before it went to the crusher. It had no stickers, no decals, just ugly red pin stripe and a silver air cleaner. I wish I knew then what I know now..........I'm sorry.
YOU ARE OFFICIALLY FORGIVEN!!! Now dont try that again LOL

maybe we should just all start asking prices that are outrageous!!!!
YES, YES, YES
Part out all the beaters, crush all the rust buckets, drive those prices up.
I'll sell my '87 for a paltry 25K, I just need to find the right buyer!
Actually in all seriousness, I've got 8K in mine now including the purchase price, and it's worth maybe 4 tops, so I would have to put another 42K in it to make it worth 25 right? My wife's not gonna like this.
