Paul,
No I didn't install it.
I was messing around with some ideas for making a custom fiberglass housing for it so it would mount to the stock location inside the rear glass using the original screws, but I've never gotten around to it and I'm thinking of some other ideas now.
Since you are the first to ask, and I could use some good karma, how about I just let you have it for the cost of shipping?
If you want it, PM me with you address and I'll shoot you my PayPal details.
The only other thing I would ask is that you post a thread on installing it.

Tony,
Somebody is leaking secrets....
Well maybe I'm the leaker...I did post a quick update.
I just can't trust myself to keep quiet
Here is one of the new "tweaks" in process:

There also might be another VERY dramatic change in the car very soon.
I'm looking for opinions on this though, so check your PMs and give me your feedback..

Other than the previous update, YES there has been a rather dramatic update this weekend:

My previously shiny yellow GT got an all over "massage"...with a DA sander

and then she started getting some minor "plastic surgery":

In a couple of hours she will be leaving for the "beauty parlor"
I probably won't see her until this next weekend.
Who knows what she will be wearing when she comes home, but I know she should be amazing.

I'm going to miss her while she's gone though

Thank you sir!
Coming from one of what I consider to be the "Masters" of Fieros, I consider it high praise indeed.

The paint work on my GT was good, but I know it could have been much better, and since the Millennium Yellow color was actually a compromise when I first built the car, I have decided to go to the original color I had in mind for the car and have retained a very good custom painter to help me get it the best we can this time.

http://www.mobileairbrushing.com/index-3.html

I'm not having anything really wild done to the car, just good solid basic paint job, (no graphics), but I've seen Billy Kidd's work and I know he understands what I'm looking for and since we had to basically tear the car apart somewhat to do this, and even though it was hard to do that after all the work I put into it, I am confident that this will all be worth it.

Had a good productive day today after a 20 day delay.
My painter was sick and just got back on his feet this week.
The big changes in my Fiero are beginning to happen at a faster pace now.

The car has been scuff sanded and smoothed out a lot better, (but it's going to get MUCH smoother before this is all done)

Lots of parts yet to be sanded:

Antenna hole has been glassed in and smoothed out nicely:

Custom painter, Billy Kidd, busy sanding:

My old daily driver sits in the street. I think she's jealous since she just started making noise from her belt tensioner today.

Parts sanded and ready for prep:

Billy Kidd has started bagging the car:

When we get in the paint booth the windshield molding will be pulled back with....what else?.."pull-back tape"
Cool stuff. It's specifically made with a thin plastic strip on one side to slip under the rubber molding and pull it back to let you paint under the molding.
Billy assures me the rubber will lay down fine afterwards.

Billy finds a unique way to hang door panels for prep:

Decklids off and ready:

The squirting of primer sealer begins:

We are using a white catalyzed primer sealer.
Great high hide properties, (went on beautifully over the sanded yellow)

We had a nice low humidity day with no breeze, so Billy decided to shoot the primer sealer coats outdoors.
We will be moving the car to a paint booth once we are ready to shoot the final sealer coat and begin shooting color

Front bumper cover lookin' good

2 coats of primer sealer on...we're running out of daylight!!

My new quarter panel scoops from JimmyS also looking great and Billy has kept my wheels and tires nice and clean.
HVLP guns are nice!

Billy Kidd of "Tricked Out Customs", doing what he does best...squirtin' paint.

A little more attention to the nose:

The hood be lookin' good!

Rear decklid in white primer sealer...Hurry Bill..it's gettin' DARK!

A sea of Fiero parts in white primer

Managed to even get the mirrors their first 2 coats of sealer before calling it a day

All ready for some more sanding tomorrow, (does this sanding stuff ever end?)

I wonder what color is going on over all that white???

Yes.My daily driver
It's a 99' with 168k miles on it.
Needs a lot of TLC right now and my son wants another project car so I'm probably giving it to him.
I think a new Solstice would look nice sitting next to my 87' GT so I need to make room.

If all goes according to plan, we should have the car out of the booth by this next Sunday evening.

I liked the yellow too, but what's coming soon will be HOT.

You are absolutely correct sir!
I am a terrible slacker for not updating this poor old thread, and yes, the "Tangerine Dream" is getting a lot of new parts.
The UPS man says he wants partial credit for helping with the car since he's brought so much of it to my door!

This week I received:
Fiero Store coated sprint headers
Fiero Store coated Y-pipe
Fiero Store stainless "test pipe", (cat delete)
Fiero Store rear sway bar
Fiero Store strut bar
Fiero Store Aluminum CAI kit
Fiero Store fuel sending unit
A Momo Millennium steering wheel just like this one:

A low profile steering wheel adapter from NRG

3 new gages, (water temp., oil pressure and volts), from Prosport Gages
(Blue / White color, Premium Series with Peak / Warn)
http://prosportgauges.com/p..._warning_gauges.aspx

A VERY nice billet aluminum plate to mount the new gages in the Aux gage pod:

A Rodney Dickman rear decklid strut kit
A set of Rodney Dickman stainless vac lines
Misc. other "goodies" from Rodney

New
A/C Compressor, condensor, receiver dryer, orifice tube and o-ring kit

I also have a set of Speedhut gage faces on the way that will cover the OEM tach and speedo and look like this at night:

(All my gages and interior lights will be cobalt blue at night now,
including my new Sony CDX-M8810 head unit:

I have a few more things to get yet, and I feel a bit guilty for spending so much money on this little car, but it's become an uncontrollable obsession!!

We really haven't spent much time doing upgrades or mods to the car this summer, (WAY too hot in the garage)
The new parts are for when the weather cools off soon and I can tolerate being in the garage for more than 30 minutes at a time.
Most weekends have been spent going to car shows and it's been pretty good so far:

4 First Place / Best in Class Trophies
3 Best of Show

Most all the shows have been 150-200 cars with one of them being over 300 cars, (I got a Best of Show at that one much to my surprise)

Trophies stay in the garage with the car, (where they belong)

your car looks Terrific ! . Word in regards to the SpeedHut faces - BEFORE you pull the needles off the original guages, think long and hard about EXACTLY how you're going to get them back on in the proper position.; then count to 100 and think again. A lot of guys have done this and their guages don't read correctly after they put the needles back on. For gas, you can either fill the tank completely full FIRST then put the needle on the FULL mark or do the reverse using EMPTY. The gas guage scale is NOT linear.

By the way, i mounted the LED 3rd brake light and i'm Very happy with it - THANKS again and i'll post some pics soon.

It's been awhile, so I thought maybe another update is due.

Just installed a Viper keyless entry system, and I LOVE IT!
Push the button the doors lock, parking lights flash and the horn toots. Push another button and the rear deck lid pops open.
I'm not big on wiring but after installing the keyless entry system I think I could handle about any wiring job.
Hardest part of the job was pulling the dash out, (again), and learning to make good solder joints.

Once that was done I figured I'd start some work in the front compartment area that I've been planning for awhile:

I've never been a huge fan of the spare tire covers, so I thought I'd just cover the whole area!
The cover is made from 3/16 thick ABS plastic some aluminum angle and a few rivets, and is upholstered with a nice durable black headliner material.
I added access doors for the master cylinder reservoir and the windshield washer tank fill.
Always liked the way Ferrari and Lamborghini had all the under hood "guts" neatly covered and thats the look I was going for.

The entire cover simply lifts out when access underneath it is required.
The whole thing is very durable and weighs less than 2 lbs.

Several years ago I bought some electroplating equipment and never used it ... until now.
I polished and nickel plated the hood safety posts, hood latch and numerous nuts and bolts.

The plating is called "Copy Chrome" and although it's actually nickel, it's a "blue" nickel that approximates chrome very nicely.
Google "Caswell Plating" and look for their brush plating kits if you're interested...

Next up was installing my new Momo steering wheel with NRG adapter

(Key fob for the new keyless entry is laying on the floor mat )

Since I already had a lot of the interior out while doing the keyless entry system, I disasembled the HVAC control head and machined some new billet aluminum buttons and added a billet aluminum fan switch knob, complete with LED in the knob.

Another view of the billet buttons and switch knob along with my new Sony stereo head unit and shortened shifter.

Installed the new Speed Hut Volt, Water Temp. and Oil Pressure gages:

The gages light up cobalt blue, (same as my new Speed Hut tach, speedo and all other gage faces.
The gages have peak and min warning set and LED warning flash feature.

More clean-up and refurbish work up front:

The headlight motors have been chrome plated, but the reflection of the wood rafters in my garage make them look rusty in the above photo.

The other side:

Both headlight buckets were wrapped in carbon fiber film.

I don't know how well it will hold up, but I'm told it's very durable...we shall see.

Next up was installing some new LED driving lights:

I had to fabricate some simple aluminum brackets to get the lights to "float" in the grill opening:

They look pretty good I think.

When lit, they give the car something of an Audi look

My new MAP sensor cover from Loyde Rascoe.

It looks great after a LOT of polishing.
(Please ignore the dust on it...I haven't cleaned the car up in awhile)

Looks great Randy, cant wait to see it in person at Daytona.

BTW, my car looks a little different too now, well, not the paint, thats still crappy. I did however get that sagging E-brake cable thing worked out (among other things).

Thanks Joe!
It's been a lot of work, but it's coming together now.
I'm looking forward to Daytona, but might have a schedule conflict with the St. Pete Grand Prix.
Hmmmm...Do I go to Daytona, or our first Indy Car race this season???...What to do???
(The wife is pushing for Daytona.)
