The ASC (American Sunroof Corporation) 84 SE Convertible and the GM built 86 GT Convertible were both purchased at Barrett Jackson by one of our members. The 84 had been documented in numerous magazine articles when it was first built. The 86 has the red leather interior and was displayed at the 20th and 25th? Anniversary shows..

He displayed both of them at this weekend's World of Wheels show in Calgary, Alberta. A lovely display

Of course I know their names. Les and Lorraine. He's not on PFF, but he's a member of our local club, Calgary Fiero Owners Group www.CalgaryFieros.com

Didn't the 86 Convertivble Prototype have a different set of side mirrors... they were more boxy and 80's looking... hmm odd. Either way... both beautiful cars.

They are the same but if you will look close the A-pillars have extra glass on them to roll out to meet the wirror's side...like something to smooth the airflow between the mirror and the body.

I have been trying to get pictures of the 1986 convertible since the 2003 Fiero show. Can anybody get me any pictures of the top mechanism especially at a partial up position? Thanks! Mark Klein mklein@iowatelecom.net

The poster of the Zingers is cool. I was just talking about those cars and wondering where they are today. Rick B

I'm glad they went to someone who appreciates Fieros and knows they need to be shown to the world, not locked away in a private collection.
