Does anybody know if the prices on the TLG website include shipping or is it extra? If its extra, is it a flat rate up until a certain amount spent or?
TLG sales to my knowlege, shipping is extra ... I received mine via USPS and packed VERY nicely ....excellent dealer and prices are really great ... worry free Danyel
Humm...looks like the ones I made about a year and a half ago :
I'm glad someone had the time to bring this neat little mod to the masses! Nice job on the wiring as well, I never got around to making my fronts flash.

Shipping is not included. It is calculated based on the weight of the product after it is packaged. We have free shipping on orders above $250.

Wouldn't you know it! I swear, I never saw your thread on this Paul. It never even occured to me to search the forum for "LED side markers", otherwise I might have seen your thread. The bridge rectifier was suggested by others to get the circuit to flash in both modes properly, so the best we can claim is simply to be the "product development" guys on this one I guess. Thanks for being so complimentary on the finished product. I wouldn't want anyone to think that I stole someone else's original idea and called it my own. My claim to being the original "inventor" of this mod appears to be in error , so I gracefully bow to you, the rightful *inventor*. Credit where credit is due....

I applaud you and you will receive a '+' from me. i've had helmet's thread as one of my favs for over a year and LEDs but never got around to installing them until you refreshed my memory. now i'm trying to wire up my LEDs so that i can install them.
has anybody tried what Danyel suggested.

I saw these at the Daytona show, got home, tried to order at $23, out of stock. Then got my "in stock" email, tried to order again, out of stock again !! Hope the price doesn't go up again. (I understand needing to make a profit)
Has anyone tried to add the bridge rectifier to the rear marker lights ? I'd like to have both sides blink. Would that work ?

The rear markers don't normally blink with the turn signals, just the fronts. I'm not sure what it would take in the way of custom wiring to get them to work the same as the fronts, but I suppose it *could* be done somehow. (Possibly wiring into the rear turn signals somehow.) Maybe one of our resident "e-lectronical experts" can look over the schematics and suggest a way.

Thank you sir. I've had original ideas of my own *intentionally* swiped and claimed by another to be his, and that was for MUCH higher stakes than these LED markers. I know how it feels and I never want to be accused of doing it to someone else.

alright i need some help granted i don't have TLG LED lights but they look the same as the ones i have. anyway i figure i'd do the backs since they don't need a rectifier so a simple wiring should be easy. guess not for this electronics idiot, i plug in the LEDs and turn on the parking lights guess what they came on but what's the bad part you ask. when i turn on the headlights the LEDs go OFF. anybody got a clue on what i did wrong or it just escalated a bigger problem i have.
thanks...
edit: just finished the fronts and the same thing happens, the LED lights go very dim to the point of turning off when the headlights come on.

For fastbacks you can splice into the rear turn signal wiring behind the taillights (left is a yellow wire, right is green) and run a short piece of wire to the rear markers. Any nearby ground will do. Notchbacks don't have separate wires for brake/turn so you would have to do some rewiring. If anyone wants details on separating the brake/turn circuits on the notchback just let me know, I had to do it on mine when I built my LED taillights
Well I just got my vented hood & chin spoiler on and told my friend that there really wasn't anything I wanted to do for the looks of the car now. . . Then I found this! I will be ordering a full set soon but I was wondering if there was any thought on choosing the white or amber LED's? Are the marker kits in stock now?

I had a super tough time installing these. My markers were incredibly brittle and were just about impossible to pry the plastic backing piece away from the main marker. Even using a 1200F heat gun, nothing gave way like I was expecting which was along the lines of separating two adhesions away from one another. Every twist of the screwdriver came a crack of the two "breaking" apart.
But, I managed, and have them all installed, though there's a few things I need to work on.
The one thing I'd do differently is buy after-market and work on those. I felt incredibly terrible after accidentally breaking two of the markers. Originals, broken (but fixed now), ugh. Hate my life.
Overall it was worth it. They've greatly improved the usability and practicality of the side-markers tremendously, especially when visibility isn't the best.
Amber fronts, red rears.

As for the choice between amber, (yellow), or white LEDs for the front and rear markers: I tried white LEDs on both the front and rear and the white made the rear markers look "orange" or somewhat "pink" depending on viewing angle. The yellow LEDs on the front were too dim for my taste, but white looked good with my F//S repro. markers. If you have older OEM front markers and the lenses are faded, then the yellow LEDs might be a better choice in that case.
I got mine installed over the weekend too. I had to get one replacement from the Fiero Store, the other 3 were stock. The 3 stock ones took some heat to get them started but the FS ones popped right apart nice and clean. This is a great little upgrade and really updates the look of the car just a little. Great product!!!
I should have pics soon.

I had been working on a similar project , since I have the flushmount headlights and have removed my signals located on the front bumper, yet was running into the same issues with making the signals work correctly. Running across his thread was helpful and even more helpful was Oslo's assistance with my hang up. So in short I wanted to say thank you Oslo for your help and answers to my questions!!!
