Original: These vehicles that are virtually as they were when they rolled off the assembly line. No modifications or alterations excluding factory available equipment, tires, stereo, hose clamps and minor items (i.e. toggle switch under the dash, hidden stereo equipment etc).
Altered: These vehicles with one to six (1-6) alterations. Items considered alterations are virtually anything non-factory installed. Examples would be: Aftermarket wheels ( Centerlines were not factory issue), headers, lots of chrome (alternators, pulleys, etc) a small amount of chrome may be considered as one (1) alteration. Mirrors under the hood, or bright colored paint or plastic.
looks like i need to remove my 1 2 alterations to compete in the Original class.
edit: found another alteration i need to remove, fierostore carpets.

Kevin asked about weather... Welp... they upped Friday's chance of rain from 30% to 60%... some of them could get nasty. They still have Saturday at 30%... but also said the weather would be unstable all weekend due to a dry line hanging around. That doesn't sound very dry at all.
If the show is called off for rain... it will be held on the following Saturday.
I will give a daily weather report and hope for the best.
Tom has given the correct rendezvous and meet times. Also, Tom... just in case... plz bring the canopy. Not for anyone's shade per se... But I want it over my car. Thank you.

that would be SWEET but there is a small hitch in your plan, the movie doesn't open until next Friday. doh!!! unless you got the blakeinspace hookup.
edit: i was looking at the map and if they put us in the same place as last year i think if we would come in from the north end of Surveyor Blvd off Wiley Post Rd, we wouldn't have to drive thru all those mustangs. we would continue on Beltline until we hit Midway Rd, turn left (north) until Wiley Post Rd turn left (west). just a thought...

Blake I know I told you I would make the effort to go the the AER show but I'm very doubtful now. My uncle passed this morning in a tragic accident at his work in Stephenville. I'm leaving after work on Friday to go see my family. May stay the night there which would count me out for going. If I do come back home that night then I may show up to distract my mind.

This message was in my email inbox. Will join you guys at lunch. Am working most of Saturady in the other AER building. Hope everybody has fun at the show.
STU--- sorry for your loss. Take care of your family first and foremost. Just you being there may help another family member in a way that you do not realize. Remember what your name means.
A little more weather news. Chance of rain coverage now down to 50% for Sat morning... and they say the bulk of it will be more East and SE. As the show is more to the North, and just slightly East... maybe that will be a good sign.
I have got to get on the road at 0615... to pick up my nephew by 0700... to get to Pappas by 0745... to get to Valero by 0800... to get to AER by 0830... Anyway, what I am saying is... I will not be anywhere near a PC to know anything if the show is on or not, so I am going to proceed like it is on. If someone knows for certain otherwise, please call me.
I will give the car a bath tonight, and fully expect it to get wet road dirty tomorrow. I have made my peace with that certainty... and will enjoy the show regardless.
I'm going to get up at my normal go to work time (1:35 am) and check the weather and radar. If the forecast is still 50% and the radar looks threatening I'll go to work and hope it gets delayed til next Sat. If it doesn't, Oh well. They have my contribution. I just can't take off both this Sat and next. This business of the Mustang club/ AER of not making a decision til Sat morning does not work for me. Besides, I'm not very sure that I and many other attendees will be very comfortable taking the cars out into potential severe weather. Dave
edit: This also the weekend for the big swap meet at TMS for those that can get to it
