I am seriously considering cancelling my room and camp out with everyone instead. The hotel is over 20 miles further than the Shipman's I would rather not have to sit in the car anymore than I have to. The hotel is still 10 miles further north than the car show. Any advice from anyone? Chris
Bring up a tent, and expect cold water hose showers in the morning..
I own the page.

I say CANCEL THE HOTEL The more people camping at the Shipman's, the more fun it's going to be. It will save you a couple hundred dollars as well And...on another note, I plan on having a couple of "adult beverages" (FYI Danalee was the first to mention adult beverages!! ) at the BBQ, and will only have to walk across the yard to crash, instead of driving

I agree. I'm sure the Shipmans would love to host the show, we just have to make sure it doesn't look like post-Woodstock...those damn hippies talk about saving the environment and then threw such a big party that it took years to clean it up and there are still thousands of beer cans (Among other things) buried there.
"God help us...it's a hippie music festival."
I say we have one person stay at the hotel so we can all go visit the breakfast as guests.

o.k. I just got an idea and maybe its stupid. If someone wanted to come up with a shirt design for only the people roughing it camping, I will produce them. I would like to keep it one or two colors. These would be for sale most likely for $10- $12.00 each up to XL and all monies will be added to the Decals I already did and presented at the car show for donations. Just a thought. Who camping at the Shipman's would want one? Chris

Take the vector outline of Tyler's car that was used for the Project shirts, shrink it down, tuck it to one side of an image, with a vector of a tent directly opposite it... The bottom "edge" of the picture scene we are setting up for the tent and car will be rough texture, like grass/ground, etc. The sides would be outlines of leaves, bushes, and more...
|_________| Shaped like that, with the tent on the left, the car on the right. The sides would be outlines or silhouette of brush and trees and leaves... Know what I mean?
Would allow for a single color.. Bright yellow shirts, black images/text to match the theme.
Edit: Found an image that fits the idea I am looking at... The center of the image would be more level and the sides would be far enough apart to allow for the car and tent..
The tent outline would only need to look like this:

I think that is a great idea! Only one small problem I see, is a statement I recall someone that took the last shirt orders "What is it will all the Fiero guys wanting XXL shirts?" So if you go for it, and do only up to XL, that will most certainly leave a LOT of people out. I would put together a list of people wanting a shirt, and get some initial size input.
Put me down for 1 XL
As for the graphic, I like Chris's idea. I will try to put something together this afternoon as a rough sketch to toss out there.
On another note, I am willing to bet that there is a MUCH larger need for a shirt for the event in general. I bet it would sell hundreds, but is a logistical nightmare to try to calculate the totals needed, to not end up with a stock pile of them at the same time.

I can get t-shirts up to 5 XL. Anything over XL would just be a $1.50 more. As far as the show event goes i think the Minnesota club already took care of shirts.
Edited to add: i will wait for your shirt idea.

I do not recall MFF doing any t-shirts. Frazee has their offical Turkey Day t-shirts with Tylers car predomiately displayed.
My domed decals are done as of this morning and they look marveous. (Biased opinion.) I will post up pictures when I get home tonight. Rob (MinnGreen) is doing some large posters for me utilizing the black on yellow design. I am also putting together some small "caravan" signs.

I posted this in the other thread back in January and never heard from Kev or anyone on the matter.

I am afraid it would be to late for me now to pull it off with my current work load. I really had wanted to have car show shirts there. I thought the Minnesota club was doing something.

It would be a shame if they overlooked this, I was thinking for sure there would be shirts for sale for the event
My plan was to buy a shirt from the City of Frazee. It features the car in the center, and helps support the town.
In all of the other planning that Minnesota Fieros Forever has done for the show, shirts were not a priority, or a topic of discussion as far as I am aware.
When Chris posted, asking for ideas for a show shirt, noone responded with input... If a shirt design were to be produced, it should consist of the logo at the top of the show flyer, the photos from the show flyer, and the date and location information on the front. The show flyer was put together by Rob Bartlett, MNGreenGT.
The back could do the same thing as the Tyler Project shirt.. A simple, small Pegasus logo at the very top center just below the neckline... And nothing else on the back.

Ok, I REALLY liked Chris's idea, and tried just about everything. Trying to do something like that in 2 colors is almost impossible
This is what I can come up with so far, and I HATE the 2 color restriction! I have a really cool wooden sign, that would have went perfectly, but using just yellow and white, is impossible to do. Time is also a HUGE constraint, as it is just one week away now! WooHoo!
This is a rough draft, and not sure how it will be received
It has not been cleaned up of stray pixels and such, as no use spending time on it, if its nowhere close to what anyone wants. The shirt in this case would be black, and the 2 colors used are yellow and white.

Ok, been chatting with Chris, and he had a great idea, have the shirt yellow, and do everything in a silhouette... It makes a HUGE difference....
It also allows for just a single color, black, to be used in the printing of the shirts.
How about this style?
Looks a lot better.. Still not quite feeling the angle of the car... But I like the monochrome look. And the moon is spectacular..
Other opinions?
Oh! I think I know what part of it is.. The proportions of the car are too big in relation to the tent... It looks like the car is just forward of the tent, but the tent is populated with hobbits.. If the car were to shrink a little...

talked to John who asked me to check out the shirts. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! You can put us down for 1 XL, 1 L, and 2 smaller ones that would sort of fit Carter and Cassie - probably small. AND I was the first one to mention adult beverages... whoever it was that pointed out that SMALL detail. I NEED an adult beverage! So.... please do camp here versus driving after being here. Sounds like we have quite a crew going already after talking with John. The more the merrier. Chris can man the hose as he already mentioned. Maybe his shirt should say Shower Security on the back. Can't wait to see everyone. Have a save trip!

o.k. John your second design should be the one. Maybe incorpoate a campfire in it. If you want to add all the text that would be fine. I am not sure what program you are using but a vector file would be the best. You can also take out the yellow background. I am not sure of the image size you are thinking if they will be on children size shirts. If I can I will have a large and small version depending on screen space. I will PM you my e.mail. Please people if you would like a shirt to have please speak up no later than Sunday so I can get the shirts ordered. Chris

On another note, and I hate to be rude, how do you guys that wear XXL and above shirts even fit into a Fiero?
ya know I had thoughts about that kind of stuff too. It seems there is a trend... All of the fiero guys are 6' + and built like Football Players. They just seem to love these cars so much they make it work!!! (sometimes by modifying seat mounting systems)

Ok, the shirts are a definite go! The will look like this, or VERY close depending on what may need slightly adjusted for the screening process. Cornersonrails needs to get your orders in FAST, as this is only a week away! Speak up now, with the number of shirts and sizes you want NOW! I would say that $15 should be a fair price for them. It is a couple dollars over what cornersonrails said, but this is just to ensure that enough is collected to cover the cost. If they work out cheaper, you will pay that price for them when they are done. If there is extra cash leftover, I believe he said would be donated to the show. It was mentioned that it would be $1.50 more for larger sizes, but a flat price of $15 will cover the extra cost, as well as make it far less confusing ordering multiple shirts with multiple prices ect.
THIS IS ON THE HONOR SYSTEM! If you say you want 4 shirts, then you will be held accountable for the cost of 4 shirts. There just is no time to collect money and then put the order in for who has paid up front at this point, these need to go to press ASAP!
This was all able to be done in just black ink, on a yellow shirt. Having one color ink will make the screening process faster, and the cost for the shirts cheaper.
Here is the artwork for on the shirt:
Here is an idea of what it will look like on the shirts:
Either PM, Email, post here, or you can just yell REALLY loud as to how many shirts you want (Who cares what the neighbors think!) I believe he said the absolute final cutoff for orders will be Midnight on Sunday Eastern Time.
