They have to be in possession of the car and show a certain order of steps or procedures. The guy got his car and charged back later.

This is a shame. Dave and Joey are hard working people and an asset to the Fiero community. I was just in their shop on Tuesday to get an idea regarding doing a 3800sc swap on an 88 GT that I'm going to be picking up this weekend. Dave and Joey went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Joey even gave me a ride in the VR6 car to give me a feel for what a higher horsepower Fiero feels like. I'm hoping that this kind of thing is an isolated incident since losing a reasonably priced, high quality Fiero shop would only hurt the community.

Dave,

Please let me know if you're definitely going to the track this coming Wednesday and thanks for taking time out of your day to show me around the shop.

I don't (knowingly) let people back in that have been banned by the members. Sometimes when I find out a banned member has been back (for some time) with a new username, I allow it after reviewing his posts. If it turns out that this time around he's behaving (assuming his behavior was why he was voted off in the first place) I don't see a problem of letting him stay.

As for Big E, I didn't ban him - the members did so if he tries to get back on I will do my best to make sure that he can't.

the answer is quite simple - if you have to take your car to get repair done that you cannot do yourself because of
A: you dont have time
B: you dont have the right tools for the job
or most of all important
C: you dont have the skill or knowledge to do the job

then respect the the guy that has that skill and tools, to do the work you couldnt do. And if youve agreed the price then pay the man what is due to him, who worked on your car for your convience

It is really that simple

rant over

Just to reinforce the thought that most Fiero folks are decent honest people.
The guy I did all the work for on his Fiero just picked up his car, thanked me profusely and said that he was thrilled and that I had delivered more than he ever expected.
He paid me in cash and drove off with a big smile on his face.
Total cost of parts and labor $620
I don't mind doing a little extra for folks when they are honest and decent with me.

It's shame that there has to be a-holes like "Big E(xcretement)" that give a black eye to Fiero owners.
Call me an optimist, but I still like to believe that the good folks outnumber the bad ones.
