What type of widebody is that and where do u get it????
Doug with Fiero Warehouse sells similar ones however the one Rick has is a DGP body which is no longer available. I built my car from the GT IMSA kit that Doug sells. He also has them for notchbacks and also sells the whale-tail for the GT and the notchback separately. Here are a couple of the items for the GT kit. He also includes wider rocker panels, door sill plates, and the wing with the kit.
NICE!..............you did good. Listen to dad.......you'll be glad. Oh and for the record, Doug bought the DGP molds from IRM. IMSA GT, your kit was made in DGP molds!
HAGO!

Exactley how IMSA GT explained it. Mine is a DGP body which cant be obtained new anymore. Fiero wearhouse makes them now and if he makes them the same way he makes his bumper's there bullett proof.
Yup i found this a couple days ago before i picked it up. the good thing is that if Stickman2 wants to see it again it now only resides about 40min away from where he lives. and he has my word that im going to take care of this car.
Sweet ride PK. I have seen this car before somewhere. Can't remember where but it was right after I started looking for a fiero a few months back. Too bad you can't get the SD-4 back in it but I can understand the money part. Aren't all fiero owners on a budget? LOL

Lol aint that the truth. eventualy (way down the road) it will have another SD4 in it.
Your car looks like its comming along good. You sure as hell brought that one a long way from what it was.

Something we all had (bigger wallet) when we started. Even though mine is a budget build the little nickle dime stuff adds up fast. Yes its only been a couple of months since I started this one. Seems a lot longer since I am still not driving it yet. It is very drivable right now but I have been trying to force myself to get all of the small stuff done before I put her on the road regularly. I have already learned that they are never really done but, I intend for all the hindering things to be done and then this winter I have a few things I want to do to her while shes laid up away from the snow.

I'd love to make some of these shows with everyone. Its so hard for me to take any time away from home though (Single father 3 kids enough said lol) I am going to try to make Fierorama (even with the half a** paint job I put on her) though in September. Should be a lot of fun.

Its at best a 10ft paint job. Spray gun kept screwing up and I got impatient with it and shot it anyway. It will get another paint job probably in the spring from someone who is better at it than I am! lol

That car is screaming - Supercharged or Turboed Ecotec. I'm seeing more and more wrecked Cobalts with the SC Ecotec in the yards - problem is that the motors go fast! You have to be camped out at the yard when one shows up! Even a HO Quad 4 would be cool. It needs somthing "trick". I know money is tight PK but you are a resourceful guy - I'm sure you will hunt up something fun for that car. Congrats....Car looks great!

a quad 4 could be in the cards as well. i would like to put some kind of preformance 4 banger in it to at least retain the history of the car being a high preformance 4 cylinder but not at the SD4 price... I know the quad 4 has its gremlen's but once its streetable this is going to be a car that only sees the road on days of show's sunday's and sledom joy rides so i dont think a quad4 will be that much of a PITA for that kind of use. The cobalt SS motor i have been looking into for it to. not to sure yet though.

Nice purchase. You should be proud of what you have. It has been almost two years since I bought my widebody and still can't help to stare at it. When I get some time, I will look back through my old FOCOA magazines and see if I can find some info on the car back when it was new. It definately was a crowd pleaser at the FOCOA meets.

Congrats PK, thats a great looking car. I absolutely hate the paint, but its not mine, is it? Anyhow, I would love to have an SD4... are you sure that thing is ruined or is it just beyond the PO's limited mechanical abilities?
Want.. SD4... tricked out... gah! Anyhow, can't wait to see the build thread!

Ohh no Stickman is a god when it comes to 4 cylinders. the engine thats left in it is just a tired regular iron duke no sence in rebuilding it... thanks for the complement dude i love the car

x2 on the SD4. Even if you can't afford to rebuild it right now you ought to pick up whatever the PO has and start putting it back together one piece at a time.
In the short term, either stick another Duke in it just to get the car rolling under its own power or build up a separate cradle with a 3800 or 4.9. Leave the original trans and cradle alone and take your time to rebuild it right with the SD4.
