Yeah, just rotate the mirror all the way inward, so you can get a grip on the mirror, then pull straight out.

It's been a while, but I believe there are three small screw holding the mirror to the adjustment frame (3 fingered spydery looking thingy inside) which can be seen and accessed by adjusting the mirror away from each side of the frame to access each screw.

If it is just the glass that you wish to replace, put on some safety glasses and tap the old glass with a hammer. It will fall out in pieces. scrape the remaining glass out with a screwdriver. When its all out fit the glass and then use silicone chaulking compound to glue the new glass in place. Its about a 30 minute job at best. Pep boys carrying the replacement mirror glass for about $10.00.

Is this all it takes on a power mirror? I've got a problem with my drivers mirror, the motor works for up and down but not left and right. Console switch is good. Would like to remove the mirror glass so I could take a look in there.

For the power mirror there is a better way than to grab and pull.

There is a little "+" or cross in there that clips into the motors. Get a small flat screw driver and from the top slide it down between the cross and the motor and it will pop right out. You run the risk of breaking something if you just pull on it.

SAFETY FIRST! In high school shop class, they made us write, repeat, and recite the phrase "ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION" over 100 times during the first week of class. They pretty much wanted those safety glasses glued to our faces.

To bring back an old thread...do the Pep boys replacements have to be cut to fit or are they good to go?

This is the correct way to do it.
