I felt that they treated the fiero equally, but I was disapointed that they didn't take a more traditional approach. They failed to point out how safe the fiero actually is, and that the dukes over revving with 3qts of oil actually caused the recalls. I felt they should have been more extensive and less of the breeze through... on all of the cars.
Tanner Foust was a perfect match for that fiero, un believeably, and I actually had previous respect for him.

I am starting to like the show. I think the problem is that I have watched the original for so long that I expect it to be just like it and it won't be. I like Tanner and he said a lot of nice things about the fiero. Wow does that mean that the car that I have for sale in the mall is going to be a collector car and I need to raise the price, LOL, it was nice to see a beautiful gold SE like mine looked like when it was new. All in all I think the fiero did reasonably well but we all could have thought of better challenges that would have favored our car a lot better.

A new episode of English Top Gear is now up on streetfire.net. Season 16, episode 1. It honestly surprised me to see Jezza back in our country yet again, after all those unpaid speeding tickets in Nevada in the ZR1. Looks like they found a few new ideas, but they'll be re-visiting some old ones too.

I'll start first by saying like many others that the bbc top gear [the original] is way better but of course it has had many years to become so good. Tanner is the only one worth a damn on the american show even though he had some wrong facts about the fiero( he's a racecar driver that recently had a supercar show on speedchannel). If anybody watch's the bbc one like i do then they know that they did these exact challenges already on the bbc and i hate how they have to copy it. Though it was nice to see tanner had picked the fiero because he had respect and faith in the car. I agree of course its very unfortunate to see such a nice low mileage fiero be trashed but i dont even wanna think about how many were probably smashed in the damn cash for clunkers too...The only thing is this was on film.
It was the first one I had owned, but had passed through a few hands past then.
I didn't fill it with water, but if it would get a big reaction, I'll lie and say I filled it with water. It's kind of fun when you can do something little and meanless and get a big reaction out of people.
I'd NEVER 'save' a Fiero for the sake of saving a Fiero.
I'd restore one for me to use. I'd restore one to profit from it. I'd restore one perhaps to benifit someone else. Perhaps.
I'd never 'save' one for the sake of saving one, like it was saving some sick puppy. It's just a car.
Just a wild guess, but are you still in your teens?

I meant to post this the other day, however just got my FTP back up and running.
I transported 20 yes 20 Wendys cups in my Fiero by myself through the city, across the freeway, around a long 90 degree sweeper corner and then to my house and did not spill a single one.
10 of them were Large Cokes and 10 were regular Frosty things.

It was tough watching such a nice Fiero get abused. It was the cleanest of the the three cars. The only Fiero's that qualified under the cash for clunkers programs were V6 autos. The EPA mileage ratings on the rest was too high. That probably saved more from being destroyed.

I keep hearing the BBC show compared to the USA show and like many have commented the BBC show had to grow into its own. I mean just the fact that Jermey Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May were not the orignal hosts, they changed it up in season 2. Jeremy and Richard stayed, and it was season 2 they brought in James May. In season 1 they had a fat pudgy, Used Car salesman type of guy. That guy actully did a bit on each show about car prices in the used market. He just did not fit in well enough in the show and was yanked out.
I have all 16 Seasons of the BBC Top Gear show stored on my computer. Its about 140gb currently.
