I know it's another wheel thread, but I can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for from my search. So, I'm looking for pics of 88 with 18" or 19" wheels. Please post, if possible, the size of the wheels including offsets and the size of the tires that are mounted. I am trying to decide if a 18x8 with a 38 offset will work on the front. Also interested if anyone is running 19's on the rear, possibly a staggered 18 front ,19 rear. Thanks

How about 19" and 20"?
front 19" x 8" 35 mm offset 235/35-19 rear 20 x 8.5" 35 mm offset 265/35-20

Alex4mula: I guess I never told you... but I always liked the stance of your Fiero's, the right amount of lowering makes the wheels just look right in place there..
I still would like to see some 18"-19" combo's too !

"tiny" is maybe relative...20" will fit better on modified bodies like madcurls creations (because theyre part of the concept) then just slapping them on a "stock" body Fiero...just from the pictures I guess 18"-19" wheels could be the max for a balanced look..but I may be wrong

Thanks you and Jonathan I think stance in a car is everything. Have seen so many cars with right everything except stance and that kills them. But I like my cars to run lower than most Fieros out there and I can get by here in Florida. Learned pretty quick at Ohio and Michigan roads that if I was to live there then they would need to go up. Roads suck pretty bad up there!

OMG Alex you are sooooo right.
I was born and raised in Ohio and lived there all my life up until 1999, and i had forgotten how bad the roads were !
What was really shocking however was how much worse Michigan roads were ! They made Ohio's roads look brand new !

Yeah. Forgot to say that my almost bad driver door hinge pins just got fully bad to the point that the first thing I have to do is to replace those pins before I drive it again! The passenger ones are now in line too

I would probably go with a little wider tire in the back and maybe a 40 series up front, but I like the way they turned out. Specs follow as requested!
FRONT - Wheels: 17X7 5-100 40BR Tires: 225/45ZR-17
REAR - Wheels: 19X9 5-100 40BR Tires: 255/40ZR-19

Thanks Will-Martin, do you think there would be enough clearance in the back to put a 19x9.5 with a 45 offset? I am assuming you have coil-overs on the back. How much room is there before the tires would begin to rub?

19" X 9.5" with a 45mm positive offset would be close. Depending on what tire you use, it might rub with coilovers and you definately could not use it with the stock reas suspension.
I have about 1.5 inches if I remember right (haven't seen my car in a couple of years) so the wheel would probably fit perfectly - again, just consider what size tire you pick carefully.
My 88 shoes are 18x7 front 40mm offset and 18x8 rear 35mm offset. I have a 1" lip on the front and a 2" lip on the back. The tires are 215/40/18s front and 225/45/18s rear. Since the rear brake bracket adds 3/16" to the wheel I should have gone with a 32 - 30mm offset but I not complaining.

I've just about decided on what I'm going to do, is there anymore advice that anyone would like to give to the subject of fitment of 18" or 19" wheels on a 88. Still looking for more picks of these size wheels on a 88. Thanks everyone.

I am bumping this thread. Like many others the 88 front wheel offset presents a challenge to get a good looking wheel that doesn't stick out from under the fender. Every wheel I like doesn't offer enough positive offset.
I really like grsychckn's Split 5's, but I believe the 8" wide wheel is only offered in a +38mm offset which by Joe Torma's diagram (below) should stick out considerable. The strange part is grsychckn's pic they look fine. Where's the beef?
