so what do you guys think about going with an LS series motor?? It seems as if though it would be the best choice for big power I may go with a Twin turbo set up...... what do you guys think???

What kind of racing do you do? Dirt track? You must have quite an operation going. Something like this would require a large trailer for the truck plus tools, spare parts, tires etc. Do you have a semi and a trailer also? Plus a very large expense to build, maintain and race a truck with this much HP. Do you have any sponsors?

I think a couple of these would make 1,000 hp, considering the fuel pump alone generates 50,000 hp

telling ya go with a 632ci =) stock they're around...800hp iirc. add a couple turbos to that and you're golden...now actually putting any of that to the ground / not blowing up your tranny will be a different situation entirely.

rodney... i am completely amused that you find the need to STALK me in every thread i have ever posted in here on pff. the time you have spent hijacking other peoples threads just to try to harass me. the time you have spent googling me, googling my companies, the time researching all the threads i have posted in here on pff. dont you have better things to do with your time and life? as you have noticed i have ignored you. i will continue to do so. this is the only response you will get from me as i dont really care what you think or say or the rumors you may try to start about me or my companies. as far as pics of my engines, monster trucks, sema pics, mera pics and whatever else you have asked/badgered about in the last week here on pff... other upstanding members here on pff have these pics you ask of and proof and will vouch for me. so you just seem to be making a fool of yourself for everyone else to see. actually several of us here have been watching you and laughing at you in pm's. i wont answer your questions, i wont put up pics to your responses, and i wont dignify your stupid remarks. you need to stop hijacking other people threads here on pff. dont trudge up this thread either. leave well enough alone if you dont have something positive to say. again i dont care what you say or think. dont waste other peoples time here on pff. mike

Why ask what best GM motor for? I know of a motor that is easy to build 700hp without nitrous, blower, supercharged, and Turbo! Its old and heavy but has done its job sense 1957. Many people don't know what a real motor is. Try a 392 hemi! There around 5000$ running but need rebuilt. They only made them for 2 years so there slim pickings. Or if not that try a 331, or 354 hemi. Or go all out and but the 426 or 528. No GM motor can hold a stick to a hemi.

Anyway on a more helpful note, The only engine I have ever seen first hand in person break the 1000HP mark by 265HP was a 1921 Ford T-bucket with a carbed 350 my buddy's dad has. He bought it with about 600 on it and wanted more now hes doing about 1265 (so he says) but I dont think anyone on the planet could hold the thing straight for a full 1/4 mile. To do this he did all kinds of internal upgrades as well as a supercharger putting out more PSI than what we fill up in a tire (he said around 60psi) but the thing is stupid ridiculous insanely fast for what he can hold it in a straight line at and it will look at the sky in a take off all day.

OK, Iron Duke can make 1000 plus Horse Power just need to know what you want to spend

It a great motor easy to make horse power

You need to rebuild and replace cam and then look into intake system. Turbo ?

A K&N and exhaust will not get you enough

I would say an LS2. One of my favorite kit cars with an 1000HP LS2 engine in it and a lot of money in it.

This one will cost you about 40k fora measly 800HP. A few more dollars will get you to 1000 without any forced induction or NO2!

Don't take this wrong, because I am a GM guy, but, isn't the easiest motor to get 1000 hp out of a Hemi?

I don't understand why you would start with a fiero, add 1000hp and end up building a straight line drag car. Buying a frame and creating a fiero like canopy would be more efficient. I'm guessing its not going to be a street legal vehicle.

i dont have 1000 hp in my big block but im pretty sure with ease i could get that out of my 454. an I dont know why everyone is sayin use the porsche tranny. a 400 dollar th 425 right out of the junk yard will hold up just fine. its been taking the abuse I've been putting it through an i def drive my car very ruff. will it take 1000 hp. idk. but I would def try i just had it rebuilt at a tranny shop an they told me the tranny would take 700lbs of torque with out a problem an would take the same in HP with out a problem they said i pretty much was throwing my money away when i had them rebuild it. its that strong of a tranny.

Yup! It's a lot easier to get an 1000HP engine than a fiero like your IMSA.

The 425 doesn't help you much if you want a 5-6spd. Then you'll need to look at the audi or the porsche "Torque Multipliers" (aka trans axles :P)

100% correct. Its not a manual. An the fuel economy isnt the greatest. U can get it with the overdrive gear. But it is very strong an very reliable. An also easy to find in compairison to the porche trannys. Its just a option that lets u do somthin difrent then a 3800 3400 or 350 an havin to use the stock tranny
