That will go very nicely with the cupholder/armrest.

I just threw this one together sort of quickly to get a basic idea.
Tha latch is a locking type, the door will bolt back into the original hinge.
You will just have to drill two small holes into the stock catch to screw the new catch to.
It will just be flat on the back, but you will be able to mount the original map pocket onto the back if you choose.
I will have a price in a few days.
This too, will have an option of an embroidered emblem.

well that really classes up the place. I like it, simple and clean tweaks the stock interior without destroying the fiero character.

This might be a dumb question, but will it come with a key? or will we have to supply our own lock cylinder?

I did one in Tan today, but used a little thinner base, so it doesn`t stick out as much.
I will get the hinge mount on in the next couple of days.

So you are not reusing the original door? What about mounting a custom metal badge? Do you think that would be possible? This one in particular:

Thanks

Nolan, these are all new, as the plastic that the originals used is a lot of time, warped and the vinyl is pulling away.
Depending on how the badge mounts it shouldn`t be a problem.
You know one of these might look good with Midnight and Rio Red on it.

The badge is made in 4 parts. The two wings, the body and a thin baker that the three other parts are attached to. There is no mounting holes or studs as the back is smooth. I don't know how the pieces are attached however... Do you have any ideas?

Edit to add pictures:

The badge is quite light being made of aluminum. Perhaps an adhesive?

Thanks for the interest.
The badge actually belongs to a member.
I would have en embroidered emblem as an option.

I made another one of these today and got the hinge adapted.
It will use the stock hinge and it will come with a spacer bar that you see, only it will be black.
It will also come with a locking latch.
I currently can only match the light grey, accurately.
I am waiting on a vinyl sample book so I can match the Fiero colors better.
These will be available with the embroidered Fiero emblem
I will post more pictures when I get the other colors in.
Thanks, Mike

Now if you could just make that door fold all the way down to horizontal and have the cup holders mounted on the back side of it....
That's something I've thought about several times and think would be the most elegant solution.

Well, the way the stock hinge is made, it won`t fold all the way down.
It could probably be modified to be able to.

Your armrest pad / cupholder product is great as it is.
I'm just throwing out some ideas your way because, ...well, thats what I do for a living, (Product Development R&D).

I really appreciate it Randye
I have gotten a couple of ideas from peoples suggestions.
Plus, it gives me an idea of what people want.
I`m still trying to work on an inline cupholder for the manual shift cars, but I`m trying to figure out a way to keep it simple to keep the cost down.

Thanks, Mike
I will have all of the parts except the latches in this week and will be ready to produce these.
I have a couple of latches and will order more if I see an interest in these doors.
I currently can do the light grey with black top or tan with black top or all black.
I should get my sample book in this week and then I will be able to get a better match on Beechwood and Tan.
These will be 60.00 which will include shipping to the lower 48.
The Fiero emblem will be an additional 12.00

I like this arm rest up holder. Did someone make that for you or did you make or buy it yourself. I like how it is not fastened down like the ones on TLG-Auto. I would love one for my 85 GT Auto in black.

Hi Mike,
I received my cupholder/armrest and sent you a positive response.
Now I would like a price for your light grey console door with black top same as the one done for axdrenalin but without the Fiero emblem as I have the black stitched emblem on my armrest.
I would like to know the cost to have Fiero "GT" letters only embroidered in black onto the grey portion of the console door instead of having a Fiero emblem.
Please let me know the cost of the console door plus the extra cost for "GT" embroidered letters including shipping to Canada postal code R2N 4B9
Many thanks,
John

What about a second hinge attached to the factory one. Attach the door to the second spring with a stop so it does not fold to far past where it needs to when closing it?

Ben, it almost drops as far as the stock door.
You wouldn`t want it going to far because all of your stuff would fall out.
