I had a Dodge Viper cap mounted for a while and then went to a smaller flip-up cap. Now, the stock one is just frenched into my fender.

I actually bought the same one. I just have no use for it right now. It is pretty cool and from test fitting, it would look really nice.

I have that same one exactly, got it for 5$ on close out at Advance, I think it was designed for a ford p/u. Yes the screws on the outside are functional, the inner door opens independently and it has a magnetic push open/close latch much like cabinet doors. Perfect size but I have not installed yet either as I have too many other things to get done so I can drive mine. Then I will start making it "pretty"..... let us know how it goes and if you can figure a way to incorporate the pull release from inside.

Actually a more important topic is installation. I have glassed in the stock filler surround so it all looks neat and made it flush.
Because i cannot reach to install all the stock bolts all the way around i am thinking of a couple of things. One idea is to install rivet bolts the second is to have a custom screw made biggest question is how did you install yours.
