That would be sweet. I can only imagine the turn out we would get if Hulki did agree to go.

Go back to the forum topic list, and look to the top right. See the calendar? A blue "arrow" on the bottom right corner of a day shows an event listing. Click through to see it.

Tyler show is becoming more of a fantasy then a reality. I would say its about a 10/90 mix. 90% says I will not be able to go. The 10% is I somehow get rich.

If you wanted to go bad enough, you would find a way to make it there. Stop being such a PK.

Excuses? I work a dead end job that it costs me more to get to work then I actually make and I dont own a car. Those sound live valid reasons to me . Granted if I found a fiero with a trunk full of money I would gladly quit my job to be there

Maybe the Events section was going to disappear because nobody used it.
I have to agree. I wish it was more used. I would hear about things randomly if I happened to see the thread about it, sometimes too late. I would go to the the events section and not find it there. Made me wonder if only certain folks were invited.

Nellie, send a PM off to MNGreenGT.. Rob did all of the fantastic artwork for the flyer, as well as for the car show display stands and the build photo display stand that was displayed at the car show.
I sent you an email and CC'ed him on it.

Holiday Inn offering rooms for car show at 109/night but they are almost already plum full. if you want to stay there, you better make reservations fast. Just mention the Tyler car show to get the rate. They will also have a place to wash cars in the parking lot. 218-847-2121

real BASIC web site with all the car info on it... so please start spreading the word. Still working with Rob on flyers. As soon as that is done will pass that on as well so you can distribute to any car clubs or online car sites you belong to.
SHOWER: Cost on an outdoor hot water heater shower is 120.00. Looking for $5.00 or $10.00 donations a camper for this - will then be used in years to come. So far, $15.00 received.
HEY! Just notice we are doing this. Where do I send a donation again? Paypal yes?

PM sent. Paypal is perfect to my email. Can I post that on here? I am a doh doh and don't know what is safe to post publically
Additional question to throw out to the group: We are talking of doing 1 or 2 50/50 raffles at the car show. We apparently need to do this under a permit from an organization with a chartiable gambling license. I have contacted our local Lions but apparently they can only issue so many raffle permits per year so I am not sure we will be able to get one from them. Do any of the car clubs have gambling licenses in MN and how do you normally get your permits to do raffles.. it seems everyone does them.

It looks like you will have great attendance this summer, and you may not want an even bigger crowd, but if you do, you might try posting an invitation on the EVENTS banner on the PFF main page.
New people like me who were not around for the Tyler project or last years event will probably look there for things to do this summer....

People have done it. I would recommend for example:
"name (at) paypal" or whatever it is
Instead of using the @ symbol. As I understand it the purpose being its harder for spammers / bots to search it out. Maybe some more expert folks will chime in. Once it is determined what is safe I'd put that in the 1st post to get attention.
