The cat they got was dead stock. 1987 OEM original equipment and about 150K miles old. The best thing about it was that it was solid and not rusty at all.

Did they have platinum in them back then? I have another one in the garage but I don't need to pay for more welding if it happens again. Straight pipe going back in its place. I may add a one-finger salute to it for the benefit of the next potential thief.
