Thanks, keeping my fingers crossed to get the car done for Daytona. If you have checked out my build thread you will know that there is plenty going on with the build of this car, the paint Im not concerned with, it should be done this week. Its all the other stuff that I need to buckle down on and get done so I can get the car running on time.
And I used Dupont Nason base/clear.

I went to Jimmy's yesterday to finish wet sanding the hood and decklid which are the very last parts to be done. Today the top side of the hood and decklid got painted as well as the top arm of the side scoop. Either tomorrow or Friday whenever Jim has time, we should be able to get the underside of the hood and decklid, as well as the spoiler and 4 ground effects pieces done in one shot. If so, those are the last parts to get paint so I should be able to get all the parts home by this weekend or so!
And here they are, today was just the underside of the hood and decklid and everything is officially painted. The parts are still at Jimmy's drying so I will be going down to pick them up on Sunday. My next batch of pics should be getting the car put back together.

Since those last few pics got a little boring here are some of the car going back together. Its still a long way to go and there are a few panels like the drivers rear quarter scoop and drivers side rocker cover that I cant install until I complete the sheetmetal mount for the fuel filler neck's new location. I have the rear bumper and decklid off for now for working on the motor swap so they dont get damaged while jacking the car up and moving the engine in.

It's not a Targa top. He converted it to a T-Top.

Thanks guys. Jimmy is right, I cut my roof off and coverted to a T-top so no frame reinforcement was necessary. The thread on my conversion is here. I should be able to get the engine in next week and tentatively have the car all back together in a week and a half to two weeks.
Update, 8 months later and the paint still looks amazing, car is holding up well and getting compliments. I plan to paint my other Fiero shortly here so I may add it to this paint thread.
Planning on Daytona, the wife and I said we will go every year we can afford it and as long as there is at least one other Fiero there so we should be going for a while this will be our 4th year. The car made it to D11 as it was just completed days before the event.
I have tons of pics of the conversion including the gas filler relocation on my build thread that I linked on my very first post in this thread. Theres also a video of the 3800 idling in there. Do me a favor and bump it if you wander over there too, that thread was getting good feedback until it just died one day and I dont want to be the only one bumping my own build thread.
