Alas, time is not on my side. So panel by panel is how I can do it comfortably and feel like I'm learning while I do it. Weather hasn't been on my side lately either. =/

Yay for page owning on my thread!

I always heard you don't want to drive around with primer on either though. The humidity in the air or worse yet rain, gets in the primer. Old wives tale?

2 part primers dont absorb water. Older primer/ surfacers DO absorb water like a sponge. Bad if its a metal car....it rusts under the primer. Plastic dont matter. Now if you have a bare fiberglass Corvette body sitting in the back yard for 10 years, you will have a problem with the sun and moisture wreaking havoc on the fiberglass. Bare gelcoated fiberglass is pretty impervious to weather. That on everything from RVs to boat hulls unpainted. Other plastics can live in the bottom of a lake for 30 years.

Is time or weather ever on out side when on a project? Did you ever get the tire issue fixed not to hijack the thread?
