Well..... The song kinda sucks IMNSHO and there was no 82 fiero and if there was it would not be broken down on the freeway! Oh Yeah btw lil' devil, that picture of your coupe in your avatar gives me wood...!! That is a gorgeous coupe you have there.... love the wheels. I got a GT here but I think my NEXT fiero will be a coupe like that. There is a SWEET yellow one for sale in Florida right now posted on the mall.. peace
82 Fiero! Rarest of the rare cars! This was a pilot release of the Fieros, and it had a bench seat. The ECM was located in the engine compartment about a couple inches away from the exhaust. With this ECM placement, the cars broke down after mild interstate driving. The 82 Fiero sold about 5 cars before GM cancelled it. In 1984 they re-released the Fiero with some fixes and it sold out! Ahh the story of the Fiero...

The legacy of the fiero and rock musicians goes way back. Perhaps some of the young ones here haven't heard of Cory Heart or Hall and Oats. Here's some 80's educational reading:
yep, lost a lot of respect for Theory because of this.
If you listen to the lyrics of their other songs, you will be equally disappointed. They are up there with nickelback in the pop metal genre. I puked a little bit when I heard that song.

Heard this song last week for the first time on my way to work and mentioned it on my facebook page. A lot of people were laughing saying id be the only person who caught the error. I was like no Im sure there are a ton of Fiero enthusiasts out there whove known about it much longer than I have.

It refers to the Fiero as a 1982 model, and says it has a car seat in the middle. Those two facts ruined the song for me the very first time i heard it.

Wow! Some are getting worked up because of the years and a car seat in the middle after they make your car the choice to represent a white trash low life trailer park loser. I would think how they represent the car would have made you more upset than the year? I must be missing somthing?
We all know white trash low life trailer park losers buy older Camaro's and Mustangs because they are easier to work on and find parts for. LOL!
I like the song and the car looks better than I expected it to look in the video. One thing for sure the song is no Little GTO or Trans Am Highway Wonder Land.

I don't think they were implying the front seat is a bench seat. I hear it as they're describing a kid's car seat sitting on the center console, not belted in, kinda trailer trash, kinda. Oh, for whatever reasons I've seen many Fieros broke down on the side of the highway.
