Hi, i've searched for the last 15 mins and I can't find any picture showing what this looks like.....

Long-story-short: A shop changed my manual transmission from the Isuzu to the muncie 4-speed and the idiots (i'm assuming) forgot to put back (or put in a different 4-speed swtich?) on the shifter - the reverse light don't work at all. This transmission swap was done a few years ago and I thought it was a blown fuse, but when I dismantled the interior, i'm pretty sure that it's not there.

any help would be great. thanks!

And here is question from me: where is reverse switch at 5 speed transmission?

My car was 4 spd V6 from the factory, but now I'm install V6+Getrag 5spd, shifter also was replaced to 5spd. But I'm in confusion: where is reverse light switch located?

I do not have a picture of the reverse switch itself, but the two shifters on the right are 4 speed shifters. If you look in the center of the shifter and off the the left hand side there is a bracket that comes up from the bottom of the shifter base that isn't present on the 5 speed shifter. This bracket holds the reverse switch. The tab from the upper pivot presses on the switch to engage the backup lights.

Or here is another pic with the reverse switch components removed along side a stock 4 speed shifter:

The reverse switch is in the console on the 4 speeds and on the transmission on the 5 speeds and the automatics.

Here's a picture of where the switch is located on the 5 speed Getrag transmission.

And here's the difference between the 4 and 5 speed shifters... note that only the four speed shifter has the reverse switch on the in-car mechanism.

This is what I thought, ....I have no bracket and no switch at all, so those morons didn't even install it back, or they just used my original 5 speed shifter.

So I guess I'm looking for a complete 4-speed bracket with the switch.
