I had the good fortune to meet Kris when I was at Daytona last year. So many of the folks I have met here have had struggles but Kris had a particularly tough go over the last several months. We lost a good one. R.I.P. Kris.....

Thoughts and condolences to his family and friends.
Please have the family contact Mike Donohoe, PGR Florida State Captain, at havananole@yahoo.com for the Patriot Guard Riders to stand for him. If I was closer I'd be honored to stand.

I never met the man, but I've been a member of this forum for a long time and I've heard Kris Munson's name mentioned a lot over the years, always in a postive manner.
I'm very sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to the family.

I am truly sorry that such an honest and good man has left this world so early. His pain is gone, but not so for the many friends that miss him. What about his wife, parents, children, siblings.Their pain is really just starting.A giant void has been left in their world, and the only cure for it is time.I have lost my parents and two brothers, and even though it has been years,I still miss all of them, but the pain has eased.Life must go on for those left behind with only one thing to hold on to,memories. Those left behind,God bless you !
Kris was an innovator in the Fiero community, he was very creative and his work: top notch. An all around great person that will be missed. Our prayers are with Audrey and his family, we are sorry for your loss.
Phil and I always enjoyed spending time with Kris and Audrey when we went to Daytona or joined in on a Space Coast event. Kris was one of the good guys and will be missed. Our thoughts go out to Audrey and his family.

Sun Coast, Central Florida Fieros and Space Coast Fieros members made the trip over to Kris' funeral service. Several comments were read from Kris' memorial page made by forum members. It was a touchng and sad service with military honors.

When you see the words "Rest In Peace" this is easily a location you would have in mind:
Family and friends lined up to pay repects:
Kris was given military honors with a "good-bye" salute and taps:
I believe I heard that Kris had spent more than a dozen years in the military, with a number of those years being "active" service.
In officiating the ceremonies, the Associate Pastor quoted a number of comments from various bulletin boards of the Fiero community. He felt several of those summed up Kris's impact on others. For those of us fortunate to know Kris, he could easily become a friend, was one "heck" of a mechanic, and willingly shared his knowledge with those interested enough to learn.
For those who didn't know Kris, we've lost a good friend and car buddy.
Of all the things we do in life, what matters most is how we affect the lives of those around us, and the highest testament to success in that endeavor is how we are remembered. The way Kris has been remembered here and out in the real world proves that he got it right.

Though its not great to bring back a sad topic I wanted to pay my respects.
I was just in touch with him via email in August, sad to hear about his passing. I just lost my uncle on New Years day due to unexpected complications arising from cancer, he was the same age. My thoughts are with Kris' family.
R.I.P. Kris.

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there, I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air....
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even[8] eagle flew — And, while with silent lifting mind I have trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, - Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
