I'm going to buy it after finals are done in two weeks. I'll see you guys then...

That's my plan. Sell my books back to the bookstore for the game, and ask my parents for an early Christmas present. Gives me a reason to do well on my exams, better scores on those=better chances of parent's buying an Xbox 360.

Try racing R1 class on the highest difficulty with simulation damage, it's not as easy
Once you start racing online you will quickly be humbled, but it makes you get better which is always fun.
Oh don't worry, I have well over 150hrs into Forza 3 and at least 100 in Forza 2- I've done my fair share of Forza racing
I don't consider myself to be all that fantastic. In the races that I did online in 3 where only stock cars from the same class could be used (most equal playing field)- I faired well and usually came out in the top 3. I'll see how it is online for this game in a few days when I can actually sit down and play
I've always played with clutch on expert/ everything maxed- anything else is for pansies
Well, I got my 360 working and rented FM4 . Now I can't wait for the car pack to come out Tuesday! So far I've been driving a '89 MR2 S/C, and in every race I just imagine what it'll be like when I finally get a Fiero. So far the MR2 is a good teaser, since this is the first time I've ever played it in a game too. I've been playing Forza since the original, and GT before that, I never really thought this day would come . I tried hard to lobby to get the Fiero into the Jalopnik car packs for FM3 a while ago, after it lost I thought that was the end of it. Its nice to see I was wrong .
The video of the Fiero at Catalunya is just awesome. I watched it in 720p and the lighting and shading are amazing. It looks real. I think I found my new favorite game!
My xbox barely works so I had to buy a VGA cable to get it to hook up to my LCD. Its rigged to work where the case is left off the xbox and DVD drive so I can load the DVD tray manually. Also, the blockbuster I rented at, they're closing in a week and soon there'll be only 1 left in all of Atlanta. So I lucked out . I don't have the $60 to just drop on a video game .
I'm the same - my brother picked up BF3, and with Skyrim.... but Forza 4, I'm coming back! I never, ever, ever expected to see a Fiero in FM4
Lol we also got these 3 games.. Battlefield 3 is <333, but I have to admit the frequent crashing turns me off from it. Nothing like capping a flag or being in an intense dogfight and the game takes a dump, then it takes another 5-10 mins for everything to load to get back onto a map.
Nope, now they have the red dot of death, or the red eye of death. IMO there's NO excuse, especially on revised hardware where the problem with the original was well documented.
this is over hyped. I've had a 360 since they came out....multiple ones. Some we gave to family as gifts. Its not a bid deal. If it does happen, they take care of it anyway.
Game is pretty cool. The change of the Y button, RB and back buttons are really throwing me off, hopefully I can change that. I sent a request to join the PFF club. I'm MATTWA GOLDRUSH. Only thing I miss is hire driver, not seeing that so far, I just used to do that all the time to win the race and get some money, too bad my 5 million credits doesn't transfer.

Oh yeah I struggled with that the first few races, they made it less ergonomic >.<. I have to check too next time I have time to play. It transferred like 10 cars from my garage in F3 cause I passed level 50 or so in F3, I had 4 mill there too .
What I noticed is that they changed the classes on a good amount of vehicles compared to F3, it seems that they bumped up a lot of cars. So either they were made out to be underrated in F3 or they're overrated in F4 lol.

There is still the hire driver feature. I'm not sure when it comes into the game but I've seen it quite a few times.
Question for all you gamers out there, the new car pack is supposed to be available Dec. 6th. So can I expect it to be available at midnight tonight?

lol. People actually use that hire-driver thing? I've never felt the need to use it. On FM3 I used to score 1st to 15-20th percentile on pretty much all races. Much higher (pretty much always 1st or 2nd percentile) in the high end classes like R3, R2, R1, etc. And I always race with all the assists turned off except manual w/ clutch . It gives you a much better feel for the cars in the game, the stability/TCS completely neuter everything. I also managed to get used to not using ABS by applying what I learned from not using TCS. And the fact that my IRL car doesn't have it

I've never used it myself. That's the point of the game - racing, so why skip it? lol I suppose I should give it a try though, just to see what it's like.
Now the rewind feature... I find myself getting a little too used to it in career mode, and then having issues without it when playing online LOL.
If I remember correctly, its usually released around 6AM....I just can't ever remember if that's PST or EST. All I know is when I get home from work at 0700 here in CST I should be able to download it. If not, then run a few rounds in BF3 and download it. And drool at my HD 88 GT

Who ever gets it tomorrow please list the engine swaps and any other information we would find interesting
I was able to get an early release code and have a few interesting points: 1) Engine Swap - G8 GXP V8 2) Removing the stock rear wing 3) Looks like you can put a Formula? front and rear bumper on, but remains a fastback. 4) Max build looks like an R3 level car
I've made a few different tunes for mine. Really hugs the corners when set up.

I dont have an xbox live account (nor internet connection to the xbox)
I can hook it up to the internet, but what else do I need to do to be able to download this pack?
An Xbox Live account and some points for it. You can either use Points Cards (get these from like Gamestop or something) or your credit card. For the Xbox Live side of things, you can buy content on a Silver account, which is the free kind. Your Xbox Live account ties to all your other Microsoft Live services like Hotmail and Messenger so if you already use those things, you can just assign your Xbox to it. Car packs for Forza are usually in the vicinity of 800 point but I can't make any guarantees, however with Forza 4 you CAN buy each car individually rather than the whole pack, so there's no reason you can't just buy the Fiero I guess.

It's now 1am so I'm done playing Forza for the night. Will get some video of Fieros in action tomorrow and post it up. Turn 10 get mad props on this one - they've done a stellar job capturing the fun aspects of our cars!

I would've thought a higher class.... E *sniff* I was thinking D
The g8 is the only swap available 415 hp 415 tq.... The body changes resemble 88 coupe front and rear bumper covers. The side skirt adds the grey from the 86-87 GT model. With option of rear spoiler removal.

Me too Carcenomy, I've been playing non stop for the past few hours and I love it. Have already bought several of them and upgraded/personalised them in different ways.
The engine swaps available are only the V8 from the G8 "GXP" but you have a variety of options when turbo charging or super charging either the stock 2.8 or the V8. You can bring the Fiero right up into R3 class, however I think it would be a lot better when someone finds a decent tuning setup for those particular upgrades to get the most out of them.
Fans of the Formula (or at least the style of the bumpers) will be happy to know that you can actually fit the front and rear bumpers of the Formula onto the 88 GT if you choose to customise the appearance of it.
The detail is incredibly good to the point where you have to take a moment to check out the car from all angles in the view car mode to see just how spot on it looks.
Did DLC cars from the last edition of Forza end up as part of the 4th? After having a go of the 88 GT in Forza 4 now I would love to see other variations make it into the game, particularly the Indy 500 pace car.
