First of all, go half-way down the page and look at the post by Kentish.
Now right-click any of the three images of the Finale and then click Properties.
Look at the name!
I don't know if this helps anything, but use it for what it's worth (which may be nothing).
Wow! You must have SuperGoogle to come up with that! I just joined the site, PistonHeads, and posted a link to this topic. It'll probably bring a shyt-storm down on me, but at least a few of his "mates" will see it before it's deleted.

Also be careful with that address and even the name. The way the ebay scam often works the package is sent to a person who is not expecting anything, so naturally they decline paying the customs fees. Then the package sits until the fictitious person goes in with a fake id and pays the fees and picks it up (after of course filing the claim with ebay that they never got it). Slimy people. There are two Chris Kenvyn's on face book, but they seem to be from the other end of the country.

I agree...need to be careful here. Per Kentish's profile on that site, his personal website is http://www.kph-maintenance.co.uk/ ...per that website, his company is "based near Canterbury in Kent". Google puts those on opposite sides of the country as our E-bay address.

As expected, they took my post down. They have a rule against "stirring things up" and I'm sure this qualified, but all I said was that I had followed an eBay user fiero_lord via a Photobucket tag to their site and a link to this topic on PFF. I did not accuse anyone by name. They don't have a "Views" counter, so I have no idea how many people read it.

put in the name and post code in the search box and you will find people with that name that live in that area.

if you go to his feedback page and read through it it is pretty obvious he's buying up parts to do a kit/project and notice about 1/2 way down another member was unable to leave bad feedback because he failed to buy a car from him that he bidded for. http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/...rval=0&mPg=14&page=2

Do a search of his user name and you can find much more.
Judging from what I could see Here, Kentish's real name appears to be "Kevin", not Chris Kenvyn.
Interesting, I found a post of Kentish's Here that applies to this thread. Perhaps he'll understand why people are pissed off with Chris Kenvyn (fiero_lord) and are acting on it.

This thread was brought to my attention since I appear to be accused of conning people.
I am not the person you are discussing, my name is not Chris Kenvyn. I do live near Canterbury in Kent UK & not at the address posted on the thread here. My name is Kevin Hackman.
I have not posted here in a long time as I've not owned a Fiero for at least 5 or 6 years now. I bought a bad car with last one I owned so I found a Finale kit advertised on the old UK Fiero forum.
The interesting thing is the seller of the kit I bought was Chris Kenvyn, he lived in South Wales & I collected the kit from him (about 350 miles from me), I had no problems with the transaction & he seemed OK, he had a black GT at his house when I collected the Finale kit.
I bought loads of parts for the kit but eventually sold both the Fiero & kit together to a guy from Birmingham UK, he kept the Fiero but sold the kit on & it was bought by someone who has pretty much completed a build (may even be complete now).
That's all I know I'm afraid - it would be nice if the if the Internet detectives were sure of their facts first!
My thanks to those few who pointed out that it probably wasn't me!
Just came back to this thread, and saw the 'Kentish' name. As you have discovered, Kentish is a member here, but he hasn't posted for a long time, AFAIK.I had some interaction with him, and seemed a nice guy? Edit to add..wow! He just posted! How are you doing Kentish? Nick

Thank you for your support; people are jumping to conclusions here and I am pleased that this thread was brought to my attention.
When I was buying the Finale kit off Chris Kenvyn I posted (linked) to those photos from his advert when I made reference to the Finale on the Pistonheads forum (linked in this thread) - they were the only good photos I had seen of a completed Finale
I hope life is treating you and yours well and seasons greetings to you

Thanks Danyel; seasons greetings to you too.
If it helps; we are going back a few years now but I'm quite certain the address I collected the Finale kit from is the same as posted in this thread.
Technically, he lives in another country (Wales) so he's not a fellow Englishman
But as said, I didn't have any issues with him other than poor communications throughout the negotiations.
I guess you can't always judge a book by its cover though and I'm sad to hear that you and other Fiero enthusiasts here have had bad dealings with him and I hope each of you have success in recovering losses.
Best regards, Kevin

Glad to see you post here, Kevin...sorry you got dragged into this. I can certainly see how it happened, but I would also be surprised to see any further accusations.
This should be a reminder for all....look for Chris Kenvyn, but don't let it turn into a witch hunt.

I'd like to set the record straight as well.
Kevin, it was me who first made the connection between you and Chris Kenvyn in this thread, but at no time did I state the two of you were necessaily the same person. As it turns out, there is a connecton between the two of you (which you've explained), and for that reason I'm still glad I got the ball rolling and posted what I did. We now know a bit more about this cretin.
However, I apologize that my initial post led to a couple of the lads possibly jumping to conclusions about you. I'm just glad this was nipped in the bud before any harm was done.
Okay guys, focus focus focus on this Chris Kenvyn character. His antics need to be stopped... immediately.

As I said earlier on the 192.com website do a search. that way youre going to get the right person.
there is 2 possible properties at that postcode sa181ru with the name christopher kenvyn according to the electoral role (this is used to calculate what council tax you pay)
1st is a sole occupant the 2nd is married and with an age guidline of 48 to 52 years.
maybe kentish can shed some light on his age for the benefit of the other forum users - but who is to say that both occupant are around the same age and related i.e father or brother or son etc.
why not wait for the response from the police on their actions/intentions first.
Hi Patrick; no problem & I can see the reason why some thought there could be a connection.
I bought the Finale kit from Chris about 6 years ago & it's a bit of a stretch to even remember what he looked like but I'd say he was early 40's back then.
I recognised the area (Ammanford, Carmarthenshire) from when I met him but I can't remember the name of the road or house number. When I'm home tonight I'll see whether there is still an archived version of the old UK Fiero site with any of my old PMs to him as one will have an address in.

Anyone in the UK who owns a Fiero is painfully aware of exactly who is responsible for customs charges.
Sorry to hear of the peeps who have been done. As Blooz and others have said we are not all the same (in any country). If you read all of the "scammed" posts on PFF and decided never to deal with any peeps in those countries it would be a tough deal getting parts.
On a positive note; this thread has got a number of the UK'ers out of the woodwork. Yooo hooo Jon and Kentish, hope all is good with you guys, sorry for the loss of the UK club, I blame Trampboy.
I am not near Mr Kenvyn (expecially with the price of fuel) but as mentioned to Danyel in his thread, if you need any assistance from this side, I will do what I can.

Hi PK
I'm good thanks, hope you are too.
Yes, shame about the UK forum - is there still an archive version of it floating about in the ether I can log onto to check my old PM's?
I hear from Madscanner occasionally, he's also on Pistonheads and he is quite local to me - he's a nice guy. I think he posts on here sometimes. We met up once, he popped over to see me at home and borrow a tool That was ages ago when I had my '86 2.8.
Are you still in a Fiero? I wonder how the other UK guys are; Paul, Vantastic, Northeast to name but a few?
Northeast (on the UK forum) ended up buying the Finale kit I had bought from Chris Kenvyn. I sold it to a guy called Joe and Northeast bought it off him.
If I remember rightly, Mr Kenvyn was not well liked on the UK forum - PK is likely to remember and I think BV Motorsports too!
The Fiero community is not huge and it comprises of hopefully like minded people who all share the love of an unusual and actually rather good 1980's car; it's rather sad that even in such a small population of enthusiasts you can still find some who will take advantage.

I don't remember the name at all but Tramp managed to move the UK forum over to a server that my service provider blocked access to "boardoo" or something! So for the last year or so I was unable to access it at all. Plonker. No idea if there is a copy of old posts etc anywhere.
Please send my regards to Madscanner and any others you might bump in to, he certainly is a good lad, as is yer goodself and all the other regulars on the UK Forum, knew it was none of you guys. Apparently there is now a Faceache site for the UK guys but my work requires me not to have Faceache and seeing all the problems that arise from it, thats fine by me. Northeast has a thread here about a stretch project he is doing. Made quick start but then stopped reporting progress.
Still have my Fiero, it has an (easy)lifetime home here. Rained so much this year that the only time it went out was for the MOT test...it rained all the way there, I got the wrong day so no MOT test, it rained all the way back. I spent 3 hours cleaning the underneath and wheels and it has not moved since. Hopefully better luck next year.
Trampboys car has sat outside his house for many many years now. I offered to fix the many and varied problems with it for FREE....but he declined so it still sits there. If you ever feel like picking up another one......
Hi PK and Kentish, nice to be in contact with you both for the first time - unfortunately under this thread. I never used the uk forum, just this one - mainly because if there has been faults with my car or any modifications it has already been mastered here. will keep a look out for any future posts/threads that you have jon

The Fiero Facebook group is pretty good, and Ben Tricker is a great source for spares! He sent me a new drivers side headlamp motor for my 86 for £20 inc postage iirc!
If I wasn't a good 200 miles away from this guy, I'd gladly go and pay him a visit and retrieve the items he's stolen. As has been said before, anyone in the UK who has imported any car parts via the postal system (not FedEx, UPS etc.) knows that Royal Mail and Parcel Force both work in the same way - anything worth over £16 imported into the UK will attract an £8 admin fee, plus the VAT and any duty appliccable depending on the nature of the goods imported.
The one notable exception is with Rock Auto - they apply the VAT and import duty at the point of sale, so there is no messing about (I love that site, they really are a godsend - half the price of buying parts from UK importers sometimes!)
Hi to all my fellow UK Fiero owners!
Does Madscanner still have Alfas?

Any progress with this yet? I am guessing that Paypoop will stop you lising out on the deal, especially if you can compile a list of similar cases he has had?
A tad offtopic:
I used RockAuto to buy a load of bits years ago Gandalf but alot of the parts were wrong, some damaged and I remember a second hand balljoint with a stripped thread. With the complexities of sorting out such problems internationally I gave up with them at that point. Maybe I should give them another go. I always search for the bits on Sir Rodney of Dickmans site first, then if not there I have been lucky with PFF members agreeing to source and send parts. Todd Weikal at FieroFarm has been a great help with this but not sure he is still into Fieros. This is what the UK forum was great for, sharing the oddities of UK Fiero ownership, of which there are many.
Don't know Ben Tricker but I have been looking for a front lower air dam/rad scoop from an 87-88 Coupe or 88 Formula for my car for a long time so if you hear of one please let me know. Been looking at loads of other vehicles to try and find something suitable but no luck so far.
Is Madscanner in to Alfa's too? It used to be Vantastic with numerous Alfa's scattered around.

Dont give me flashbacks of some of those Fieros I tried to save! That Ferrari kit car haunts me to this day! Then there was the white 88GT I managed to get back on the road and then spiders descended on me while I was on the motorway. I hate spiders! I wonder where my yellow 88 Formula ended up? Did that guy I help with the Lambo kit car ever get it finished? He lived near Ely.
I miss the UK. I really enjoyed it there. I had some great times and made alot of great friends.
Ahh MS, good to hear from you. Only just seen this after linking it to the other identical thread. I don't use Faceache, its a pre-requisite of my jawb not to (which is fine by me ).
If anyone decides to have a mega Fiero meet this year lettuce snow, just not via facebook.
The biggest Fiero Mega-Meet happened about 18 months ago, when I had all 3 of mine together, on the street, at the same place and time. Apart from that, we had 3 at Billing last year, but not all in the same display area...

That seems to be about as "Mega" as it gets. As Paul Taylor, Tramp and Me'sen managed to be in the same place at the same time about err..alot of years ago.
