I'd say PIP is down too because I can't post anything either without getting red X's. Must be the Mayan calendar thing... and to think 12 years ago we were worried about Y2K.

chrome and FF are both nailing cliff.boondocked.ca as reported phishing site...
and boondocked.ca is listing it as account suspended now...
looks like someone reported it... i recomend people try out drop-box, lets you drag&drop picks to it, then just rightclick and get public link to display them... can also send to it from any smartphone, or sync files between laptop and desktop, etc.

Someone uploaded a bunch of files through that account and did use it for phishing. Looking into it now to make sure the sites clean.
Originally posted by hnthomps: I am also having a problem with PIP today. I even downloaded the latest version of PIP to see if that helped and get the same result.
It is NOT a PIP problem... The problem is the Server that use by PIP for PFF images.
Let isthiswhereiputausername? to his work. PIP will be up soon.

OK, PIP was working again early this afternoon, but now it's down again. It opens but when you try to upload a picture, it asks you for a user name and password I tried my PFF user name and password but it didn't work. Must still be under repair.

No he doesn't have 2 usernames. As I understand it, isthiswhereiputausername? graciously helps with the US image hosting, and does a very good job.
Seeing as some people are haveing no problems and some of us still are, I'm wondering, if it is something particular to our software or security settings.
IE-7 and XP home here, with AVG 9.0 as active antivirus. SuperAntiSpyware running at startup. Windows firewall enabled--PIP checked in firewall exceptions, all Win updates installed & SP3. No new software installed in the last 90 days other than daily AVG definition updates.

Mine was working, then it wasn't with the same error everyone else was getting, and now it is working again, all on the same Linux system with no changes. Pretty sure it's something on Cliff's side.
Still getting same error message, worked for a few minutes last night and down again today
This is what I don't understand--one minute it works--the next ya get the 12003 error message. Cliff says there's nothing wrong with PIP, and he should know his own software.

It could be your ISP's proxy is messing up things. If you get an error message while uploading with PIP, go to http://cliff.boondocked.ca in your browser. You should get a "Forbidden" message. If you get anything else, there's a problem with your proxy.

I am running Winbdows 7. My PIP will not work tonight. I get 'Forbidden' at "Cliff.boondocked"

I did the test Cliff, and got the forbidden message but still get the error while loading pics? it goes like this, i select the file the pic comes up in the black box i want and when i hit the upload button then it fills green bar about half way then the error pops up?
Strangely, I just tried to upload a new picture which resulted in the 12003 error, so I attempted to upload an older photo that I had uploaded several months ago and PIP accepted it no problem. Thinking there may be a problem with the first picture I tried to upload, I renamed it and used the Save As function. Still wouldn't upload into PIP. Finally, I cut and pasted the new image into a new file with a new name and this time PIP accepted it. I'm not sure if my shenanigans actually did anything or if PIP is just randomly accepting uploads and rejecting others. This is getting frustrating since I'd like to update some threads.

Did so, and I too got the "forbidden" message at cliff.boondocked.ca

I posted a reply to this in the other thread. You are correct. I shut down my virus protection and all of it's services as well as my spyware for the test. I was able to upload about 7 photos as quickly as I could from random locations in an older folder. As soon as I tried to upload photos that were a few days or weeks old, the ftp error appeared. I then went back and forth between older files and newer files with the same results. There definately is some issue.

What's the extension of the old pictures and what's the extension of the new pictures? The image server now blocks files which are not images. It does that by looking at the extension. If the extension is not .jpg or .gif, it won't accept the file.
