Gentlemen, if you are near Bradenton FL, this week on Thursday and Friday, please come by and watch us try for the nines. We will be racing the fastest EV truck in the world. S11 Lemonjuice. This should be the fastest head to head EV door slammer drag race in history. If you bring an EV we will refund your entry fee complements of Lonestar EV Racing.

Hope you make it into the nines, although it still won't settle the V8 versus V6 wars, I think that this is the year we'll see a nine second Fiero.

(TRSX) The Zombiero - "Thrice resurrected"
1985 GT, 4 Speed Muncie, 3.4PR V6, 15" Lace GT wheels, Power everything, sunroof, Red with gray effects. Driven and enjoyed daily.

Fiero GT- 2 seater, mid engine, rear wheel drive, H.O. V6, manual rack and pinion steering, fully independent suspension, 4 wheel disc brakes, no ABS, no traction control, no speed limiter, available T-Tops. So, outdated econo-box or classic sports car? You decide.

Brotherman, your YouTube sig is missing an "i" in racing.

P.S. Your car is really awesome. The fact that it is faster than my ZX-14 was in the quarter is insane.

I live about 30 or so minutes (if I drive the slow speed limit) away from that track.
I will try to make plans to go on out there and see you guys all run.

Looks like he did it !!!

DC Plasma is a one fast Fiero, watch it set new record for electric doorslammers

When Pontiac first conjured up the mid-engined Fiero back in 1984, its performance was also middling. John Metric has one such 2M4 (2 Seat, Mid-Engined, 4-Cyl) from its introductory year and he's fixed that problem. Dubbed "DC Plasma," his electrified example has just reduced the quarter-mile NEDRA record to 10.677 seconds in the MC/A2 class (Modified Conversion / 301V-348V) while participating in the NEDRA Florida Nationals in Bradenton, FL.

What makes that mark even more impressive is the fact that it included a truly awe-inspiring run of 9.89 seconds at 134 mph while lined up against Shawn Lawless in his awesome "Lemon Juice" Chevy S-10 conversion. Both vehicles boast dual Zilla controllers – the DC Plasma machine feeds current to a NetGain Transwarp 9 coupled to a Warp 9 DC motor, while the Chevy holds no fewer than four refurbished DC motors from General Electric – but on that night, it was clearly the Pontiac that held the edge.

The race meet also yielded a record for another car. Lowell Simmons took Miramar High School's Porsche 944 "Black Pearl" to new heights in the HS/A Class (High School / 241V - 300V), hoisting the official record to 11.319 seconds. Hit the jump for a couple clips of the Metric versus Lawless matchup as well as a bonus clip from last week's EVexpo with footage of the "Black Pearl."

I couldn't find much detail on the battery. It is projected to be available in 2015. I expect nano technology to make breakthroughs in both batteries and solar cells. You have to be careful taking press releases as truthful from some of these companies. Over and over I have seen them over hype products. Kind of like the "flying car" that has been in popular mechanics and popular science for about fifty years.

I remember when Arco and BP bought out solar cell companies and although they have produced cells, I'm just suspicious enough to think that their main goal was to control the technology rather than promote it. I really believe that nano technology will
Make big breakthroughs. I just hope that this country can compete with the subsidized Chinese companies. China has a view of the future and I guess that their government is not owned by lobbyists. Oh well, if our government and our companies won't step up to the plate, I guess that I should be glad that the Chinese are.
