Most people have a hard enough time getting the Fiero parts to fit right. LOL! |

I'm fairly certain you are either not understanding anything I am saying, or you don't care.
Several years ago I had a plan to take the Engine from my wife's Grand Am, and replace it with a 3800. There was a guy, we will call him Richard, Richard said that A. Grand Am's never came with anything other than a 4 cylinder, and B. It was impossible to do.
I listened to him rant for about 20 minutes. I finally told him that if I had enough money I could put a jet engine in that car, and I walked away.
Richard still owns his own shop in town, that's right he's a mechanic, certified and everything.
A few weeks later the car was totaled out by her brother, but that's not the point here. Just looking at something and saying it is not possible is sorta sticking your head in the sand.
Here is one similar to what I was thinking.
http://www.cwscc.com/vb_for...?p=81052&postcount=1 All I am doing is trying to figure out if there are other possible conversions out there that could be used instead of the Fiero top. Out of the thousands of possibilities there has to be something that is close, and if I can get close, I can make the rest work with fiberglass and metal work. I can strengthen a frame if needed. The main point here is that I think that there has to be a way out there to get a T-Top conversion into the Fiero with new working seals for less than it costs to do a Fiero conversion. From what I am seeing, the cost to buy a T-Top frame, and install it on a Fiero is outrageous, and if you later need a replacement window you are really going to pay.
So, I am looking for a top that is similar in width, length would be nice too. Fairly widespread with a decent aftermarket following. To the junkyards with a tape measure!!
