I got the chance to meet and talk with him briefly at Daytona where i took the above picture with him and his car. One of the friendliest guys you ever wanted to meet. He was very accomodating to anyone who had questions about the car and believe me he was literally besieged !
I am very sorry for the fiero community because a very talented member was lost, but more importantly prayers going out to his family for their loss.

Anyone remember what the paint code for the Plazma is? I searched the archive and didn't see it anywhere. Alex said it was "two part Honda" Anybody have a clue what that means? Two part mean base/clear? and what Honda comes from the factory in that shade of blue? maybe we will never know

I had not thought about the plazma for a couple months now, and this just reminded me how hot this car is. I re-read the entire thread and it makes one kind of sad in retrospect.
At one point Alex asked that everyone not rush him in to getting his story documented on this thread, almost if he felt he had plenty of time left to do the task.
Just goes to show, you never know when your time on here will be gone.
On a lighter note, does anybody know the exact size of the tires and rims on the plazma ?

The rear tires are 285/40/18. My guess is the fronts are 235/40's? I only got a chance to say hello at Daytona. I wish I had more time too talk to him before his passing. Life is short...so document all of your stuff.
omg!!!! so plazma...man, u invented this? dude i remember looking at that red car back when i was a youngster and **** really was free.....lol i wanted that thing so bad, that was the 1st body kit that really got me interested in fieros. u are the man.
hey, what is the syntax for the little green smiley that was on it's knees bowing? i thought it was notworthy but it didn't work.
EDIT: **** he's dead. did any1 shell out 10k for that kit? we need copies.

Can Superhawk paint be mixed for a car? If Alex did it then evidently yes.
Does anyone else here use the new favorites or recently posted thread tool? I did and for some reason it defaults to the first page. First thing I saw was a post from Plazma_man when I opened this thread and I nearly freaked out.
It would have been great if Alex had told the whole Pyranha/Laura/Plazma story. We didn't want to rush him now the story may never be told.

I have seen the Plazma/Pihranna in person and it cetainly is a slick vehicle. However, it is unlikely that you'll ever see this kit in production UNLESS it is adapted to a more modern platform like perhaps a Saturn. The price of development and tooling must be amortized into the number of kits sold. How many kit car builders are going to spend perhaps $6000 to $7000 for a unique rebody kit? It would seem that the market for a brand new Fiero based kit car would be pretty slim.

Thanks for bringing this back, it's one of very few threads that I've taken the time to read all the way through (by that I mean I didn't just look for the important posts-mine)
