It looks like my wheel choice and combo inspired somebody. I would have gladly traded him my set for a copy of the interior.

Does anyone have hi-res versions of these pics? I was just thinking it would be awesome if (with family's permission) Domestic Driver could do a writeup/tribute to a great car and creator.

Ahhhh I did not know it was a kit originally. I will have to email them eventually and see if the kit can still be purchased!!!! That is one of the sweetest looking Fiero kits ever!
I spoke with a gentleman from the company in Russia that made these kits. HE said they no longer make them but have the molds. They would charge $5000 for the body and $1500 for the interior, and that they have 2 interior styles. However the shipping will likely be killer from Russia. I am waiting to hear back from them atm.
So yes, you too can own your very own plazma

Alex never got to tell the complete story, but he and his associates in Russia were attempting to build this kit and sell it. I don't know that they ever sold a single one. I personally asked Alex about all the various pictures you see in different colors and configurations, and he said there were three prototypes, but they were only clay models, or bucks used to pull molds from.
When Alex came to America he brought the interior molds with him, but the exterior molds are in Russia. Alex continued working on the Laura and built it into the Pyranha and later the Plazma.
If you look in this very thread, starting on page 1, Alex himself explains much of this.
Alex answered me personally that the Plazma was not a kit. I can have that Russian page translated, but I suspect they are showing past projects they worked on.
The Plazma is truly a one of a kind that you cannot simply order from Russia or anywhere else. At least this is was I was able to determine from Alex before he passed away.

Hopefully we didn't scare plazma away with the 20 questions. I'm sure he'll post a new topic when the time is right. Being patient sucks.

Well according to the guy I spoke with, they can make it, and do have them. But I do not know personally. He specifically quoted me $5000 for the body and $1500 for the dash. I translated the page, and the page is speaking of a kit that they offered for sale. This very kit.
Here is the translation of the site, from babelfish.......

Sometimes fulltime, sometimes parttime. For example conversion Piranha into Plazma took about 10 month of fulltime job.And I'm talking about 12 hours day,7days week ,no vacations !
Plazma...man's own words from this very thread indicate that the Laura-3 would differ significanty from the Plazma, so I don't see how you can buy a Plazma from Russia?
4 years ago another group of individuals were offering the Laura 3 kit for sale, so forgive me for being skeptical.
Hello everybody!
Many of Yours know the Russian kit Laura 3.
It was discontinued by the original manufacturers some time ago...
I have contacted the autors of this kit and currently relocating manufacturing of this kit in Europe.
If all business regarding things will go well, we can start producing bodys in this winter.
Doe’s anybody be interested in bying this kit, so we need to decide about the variations of kit, and potential client wishes?
I just thought I would post the content of the email I recieved this morning from the gentleman in Russia,
"Quoted word for word from my email" Hi Randy! I am seen this forum regarding Alex story and Piranha. Hi was my best friend a know him from 1981 years, hi was really axelant designer and some time ago we operate together. I know him wary well and invite him for new Laura project in 1995 just for designet interior ( late we change interior because Alex design was too difficult for production- but hi love it and continue made it by himself) Thos time I both house and garage in Wilmington NC specialty for this project, and all the pic for started manufactory which you seen- it is originally from NC. 2 guys and me made a body and Alex made interior. All project was ready from 0 just for 6 months. All mold was send to Russia for continue. But Alex is a genius guy and normally can't work too mach time in team- hi must be along. And hi bring his personnel Laura and going to USA. my NC partners help him on the first time late hi move to NY. I don't se him from 1999. We do Laura in Russia not sow much time- because the main problem Hi quality (like new) Fieros! Customers want to have a new chassis!- It's problems, and we stop made a torn key vehicles, on this moment we have just best quality molds, also I have personnel Laura and some of my friends too. Now I do Combats vehicles.WWW.t98.ru So Alex was my favorite friend unfortunately lose him I'll be love and remember him always. This all the story regarding Laura-3. Dmitry Parfenov
So while their interior is different than the one in the Plazma, It could still be a really nice body kit.
Just passing along what I get...

Any chance you can get him to post some " current" pictures of his and his friends personal Lauras and also some current pictures of the molds ??
Now that would get peoples attention !
When i say current, i mean clear and concise pictures, not some grainy bigfoot quality stuff hehehe. In fact see if you can get him to do the " Curly pose" and that would make it very current !

That would be nice. I wonder if they'd be willing to sell the molds too.

I agree. No doubt I'd chop it, hehe. I need to call my friend Alex (who's a Russian in CA) to check on this cause I love this kit.) $6500 bucks is alot of bread which could give make me very gasie thinking about the kit being shipped to CA, hehe.
I wrote Dimitry again, and asked him if he would chime in on this thread. I make no claims about validity, but he sounds legit to me. I got his email address of the site that was posted above, and thus far he has been real friendly and informative to me. I have suggested that he post pics of the molds and such here, so we shall see. HE will likely email me again around 4 am or so.

8Ball - Good work. That is consistent with what Alex said. The interior molds he brought with him, but he didn't have the exterior. Which I agree are awesome in and of themselves.
These emails do sound like they are from Alex's former associates. If they were to post some new pics of their cars I would be most impressed. I didn't believe Alex either when he first came on here, but he sent me some very very high resolution pics of the Plazma and I believed him instantly.

Well I have not owned a Fiero in 5 years due to financial reasons, but if this Kit is truly able to be purchased... you can bet your arse I will be finding a way to get it I LOVE the body even without the interior, and I cannot wait to see the interior that they have available. Worry not my friends, I am not giving up on this one until I have a 100% answer either way with costs of shipping etc etc etc.
