Even without the wing (being repainted due to a scratch) this widebody creation, built by Alex aka FieroGTRwideboby, and his father Bobby aka creator is still a complete jawdropper !
Snapped these pictures while visiting Bobby at his shop as he puts the finishing touches on his second custom car that will debut at Daytona 2007. Sorry guys no sneak pics allowed, but trust me, from what i saw, you won't be disappointed !

I was encouraging bobby to pull the twin Bill, but he is unsure. Alex may not be able to make it back from School so it might be difficult to get both cars there as teh trailer i believe only fits one and the orange car with it's modified 3800 SC is not the greatest on gas mileage hehehe.

Bobby & Alex's custom Fiero Widebody 3800 SC II in Florida gulf coast. Engine has ZZ Performance tuning. Gets 6 miles p/gallon when driving normal and 2 p/gallon when racing. They have not dyno it. Won best Fiero custom in the Daytona 2006 show.

i just noticed, the part that would be under the door is kinda trimed down. or is it just the top part of the rocker with the bottom the regular width? 'cause i can see it tapers in bottom to top. if the whole thing is trimmed down, is that to accentuate a kind of "coke bottle" womanly shape?

is that your piece painted (or primered? or gelcoated?) or one of the new wide rockers that archie is gonna sell?
It's called Dura (something?) and is needed for coating various parts prior to making molds. The Dura (something) is sanded very finely (smooth) and once it's sanded and smoothed..several layers of wax is then applied. Archie will be covering the process on the "Who's really interested in Wide-body" thread.

Yes. Details of the process is seen on the "Madcurl's Arch Rival" thread.

Actually, I've always hated the truck-like boot stand that ran along down the bottom door. It's more evident w/o GT ground FX. Recessing the area back actually mimicked the car I seen at Fierorama. Granted, the Wide-body rocker does contains "curves" like Jane Mansfield bra. Over-all, it's the combination of all three parts that give the back end (IMO) like JLo.

now that i look at this again, i think i at one time asked how the front fender deal might look on a coupe, and this person (i forgot the name, junco-something?) taped up some old fender pieces he had to take pics of. i don't remember him really saying much about an actual attempt at it.
