Car-lo perhaps you are unfamiliar with the Chop top numbering system.... I am referring to the order in which the cars were chopped by V8 Archie. The Great Blue Choptop was chopped in the 1998 timeframe. Not the first ever, but certainly among the first.
I didn't know your car was chopped...is that a photochop? or did you recently chop it yourself?
EDIT - I should have read back a few posts!! Awesome job!! I always felt your car would be perfect with a chop. Nice Work indeed

Yes, I'm familiar with Archie's numbers, I was just joking around, since it's my first chop #01, sorry. BUT, I am looking forward to see what you're up to at Archie's?????

Your car is quickly becoming the top Fiero on here. And that you are doing the work yourself is even more impressive. How did you make the side windows? My car has a few new goodies planned but a widebody is not among the new toys. Making my car go is the number one priority.

Thanks, I couldn't do this chop without my brother Dario in Winnipeg, Manitoba (he's a hot rodder way back to the '50).
WALSH PLASTICS LTD. in Burnaby, suburb of Vancouver, BC here (they do marine, aircraft and auto stuff) They formed the windows for me, had two sets made (one set is a spare).

I remember your ride, I believe you ran 17"-19" combo, very nice (hot roddish).
.......and WHAT HAPPENED?
Still under the knife at Loyde's shop. The pains of being an R&D test mule. Im not complaining though, Loyde does top quality installs and he won't let me have it until it is perfect - I would expect nothing less.
Seeing yours makes me wish mine was done!

How much did you chop that? I hate to say it as chops aren't my thing, but that's the best looking choptop I've ever seen. It doesn't look like a pancake, somehow. Also, the tweaks to the widebody fit the car perfectly!

Thanks ALLTRBO and everybody....
The chop was 2", but it ended up 2-1/2" at rear window, I wanted something subtle looking (my neighbors didn't even notice).
Hey MC, from the pic above it almost looks like the wheel is too wide, or has too much offset? I love big wheels, but when they start sticking out past the bodywork..., it starts looking a little 60s (when it was cool), or even Jeepish, to me. I really would like to see a narrower wheel, and allow the sidewall to sit flush with the bodywork. Hope you take my comment as intended, you have one of the top custom Fiero's on here.

Yes, I agree. This was a "test" fit only for reference a point on a 1988. No doubt David will need to change the off-set by 1" which then bring the rim inward. For some reason it seems that the 88 specs on the rear are different from the 87. I always thought it was the same but different for the fronts.

One thing I noticed while working in the rear of the car... I have bumped my head at least a dozen times on the wingtips...luckily those things are really, really strong.
