I like the all black myself. I would normally say chrome but that particular application I feel the chrome takes too much attention away from the rest of the car.

I hope I am wrong but is that a back glass on the front? if that is a tempered piece of glass and a rock hits it going down the road he will be wearing all the little pieces in his face! Like I said I hope I am wrong! other than that I like where it is going.

Looks like a Firebird or Camero rear window. Looks nice, but good luck with that when rocks from cars and truck shot them your way.

The glass has a Mylar protective film to prevevnt it turning into a shot gun. I learned the hard way on the frist one that I did but thanks for looking out for others
Coil-overs, right? Can't you raise the rear up a bit?
No, Eibach sportline springs..lowered it 1.5"
If I put the stock springs back on the rear it would probably fit, but then the front would be too low with the rake, and probably scrape on snail trails.
Putting stock springs back on all around is not an option because I hated how that looked.

Actually, your situation isn't that much different than those with 20's on their Fieros. The rear wheel is tall making the gap less noticeable. That's your cheaper alternative and if it doesn't work.. buy coil-overs on all corners.

even with the film on it if it breaks you will not be able to see out of it and if you are driving at any speed the edges of the glass will come loose and the whole thing film and all will be in your lap. like I said before it looks cool but not safe in any way even with film on it. I am not knocking you I just don't want to see anyone hurt. D.
any way back on topic, hey Curly, here is a pic of the freshly painted wheels for my DD.

Finally, things are getting back to normal. I talked to HRE and they're going to replace the outer lip and shorten the inner by 1.5" and add the 1.5" to the outer lip making it a 20x11 but with a 4.5" lip (make sense?)
It appears the only part damaged is the outer lip.
Lip prices very, but it's about $250-300 for lip reconstruction, hehe.
After attending the SEMA show I decided to go all black with chrome bolts.

HRE 547R are out of production. HRE is now using a similar design, but using light weight material. The newer style 597 I believe is a 5-spoke split wheels, but uses titanium fasners and removal of unwanted weight. However, according to HRE the wheel is stronger.
