Yeah no doubt Curly, they do look " A LOT " better now !
Were those 18 or 19 ? How wide did you go ?
18x12 rears and 18x8.5 fronts. I purchased the wheels on Ebay for $950. I had HRE add a 5" high gloss black lip to the rears ( I wanted to go deep). The centers are matt black.

Thanks Tony for reminding about the Redux. I think the wheels will look good on the car using the Celica headlamps and flat black paint. Remove the Norm's flipper and go back to the original game plan.

Prior weight: I'm sure by adding 4" of lip will push it to 25 pounds. Removing additional pound was going to cost me $$$ so I passed on it. They do this by drilling out segments between the wheel lug openings.
A diamond in the rough.
Truly not the prettiest wheel, but with a little bit of imagination and tweaking from HRE you can net a nice diamond. These wheels are 5x100, 35 or 37mm (I forgot), and 57.1 hub bore.
The cost of shipping can't be over looked for each wheel cost about $50-61 per wheel. I initially used an old HRE wheel box, but it was a bit larger than the wheel so the cost goes up. I decided on the next three to use UPS box. I saved myself at least $200 by driving to Sacramento and picking up the wheels myself. If you can find wheels within 100 miles it's worth it to drive there and pick them up. There's another set of Forgeline wheels that I'm eye balling.

Curls when you gonna start the new thread ?
Thanks Tony. I was going to start the thread today. The car is still in Elk Grove awaiting transporting to WCF. As for the wheels if you can nab a set on Ebay with a 5x100 and in some what good shape-by all means grab them! Depending upon a person taste you can leave the wheels as-is or opt to tweaking it. The downside is; the more you tweak the more the cost. If you're going widebody it really doesn't mater as much since the outer lips are going to be changed out anyway (as was the case here) and you therefore leave the fronts alone. If you max out the tweaking you're looking at 1/2 the price for new wheels.
Still it's a better deal than new and once the wheels are re-modified they look new and nobody would ever know that you nabbed the wheels for 1/3 the cost. HRE will work with the individual specs and tweaking without giving you a headache. Never once have I ever seen HRE turn they're back on a dollar bill. Whereas other companies might work with the 5x100 now, but 12 yrs ago that wasn't the case for me. Anyway, back to the wheels.
The fronts have a 2" outer lip just enough for a profile. I'm looking at a 245/35/18 for the fronts.
The rears have a 5" outer lip. This should place the wheel just beyond the MadArch widebody kit thus added lip flaring will be needed. This is my plan at least using a notchback this go round. Here is what go me to go notchback and to paint the car satin black using steam rollers in the rear.
The backside is also painted in high gloss black. I learned from my first set to add polish or paint. After street usage the backs tend to go bad in color thus the need to make changes.
I asked HRE for a banner for the garage. The shipped the banner and two T-Shirts for free.

The added benefit to using custom wheels-no hub centric rings needed. The wheel is made to fit a Fiero hub 57.1
The MadSpeed Fiero is in Elk Grove, but I tested the wheels on my 1988. You must test fit wheels prior to fitting any wheels. If not, you mount them. You own them!
The HREs were originally made for a VW Passat or something, but the off-set was dead on!
The strut brace clearance.
The MadArch kit was pretty close, so I might not need additional flaring.
The 18" clear the Corvette C5 brakes so I doubt there should encounter any problems with WCF 12" on the MadSpeed Fiero
I need to make sure of the fronts now.

That's pretty cool right there. And you've only bought how many sets from them? These latest ones with the lip are my favorite so far!
A set for each Fiero.
I got around to test fitting the front wheel. I turned to sterring wheel full turn and found to issues (actually the other 547R 18x8.5 fits just fine). I can now mount the tires.

Edit: I called HRE about a pair HRE that were bypassed by a member here. I found out that Leroy used the same set-up as me thus his and my rear wheels are identical. 5" is the max you can use for the MadArch widebody kit w/o having to perform major flaring.

Since #020 is headed to the shop I decided to polish the wheels. The green bottle is for cutting build-up and the pink for fine polishing followed by hand details in the tight spots. I use a buffer ball and polish ball too. Look to spend at least 30-minutes per wheel.
Starting on the pink bottle.

I vote keep the chrome. Looks better IMO. I hate black rims the just make it look cheap to me, and whats bad is they aren't cheap but they still look cheap.

Although, the thread initially started off as a "vote" in the end I couldn't make-up my mind so I got three types (full polish, black w/polish, and all black).
Exhibit B:
Granted, the thread' title is misleading, but I didn't want to bother asking Cliff to change the name. Sorry about the confusion.
