This is me in 2004 right after I got the engine out of my '86 project car.
It was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and it was in the 50s outside. 24 hours after this picture was taken there were 4 inches of snow on the ground...

how come my picture is the only one without a single drop of oil or coolant on the ground under my car?

Not the
only one .... I just needed to post a little wider shot.
And no Saxman... when I said wider I was not referring to the butt shot

No puddles here either!
The epoxy floor coating took quite a beating but it makes clean-up a lot easier, plus there is almost nothing as slick as coolant on an epoxy floor so you tend to keep it clean, or get used to falling down a lot.

Sorry - that wasn't coolant or oil. I was just a little excited from getting the engine out.
The car bumper was left that high for a reason!

As long as Ananomity is the one standing in the bay - I'm all for it.
Maybe do the same inside an engine cradle instead!
Please, no blue truck nuts...

Sorry, Dwayne, but I think Dave was thinking of photos of himself, not his lovely wife...
Of course, if they were shots of Dave from behind, there might be a few here that would "hit" that, given enough alcohol... (sorry, Dave. Another hair reference)

no worries...I've been taking flack about my hair since I was 13.....it was in style then....pre-Nirvana. That's why I grew the funny little beard. My mom doesn't ask me when I'm going to get a hair cut anymore....now she asks me when I'm going to shave that dreadful little thing.
Dave
ps....I've been keeping tabs. I figure a beer for every hair joke...lol

She took a zanax and passed out to get ready for her 4000 mile trip tomorrow....(another thread in off topic).
I'm trying to wind down from the VR6 adrenaline.

After having the engine out a half a dozen times, I finally remembered to get one of these...
And finally got it back together!

YES! Very nice!
Hey 1Mohr - it looks like I will be able to take more engine bay shots soon. This 3.4 is about to go in so I can be just like you!
I'm going to check into the ECM and DIS upgrade, too. I'll let you know how it goes...

No joy in your efforts to attribute that "knock" to something other than a "knock", eh sax??

Let me know how that works out. I have been thinking about it myself. You will love the torque the 3.4 gives. It feesl pretty good in the car.
