You are more than welcome and glad to be of some help!! I ran into the same problem when I had an Ipod and couldn't figure out why I couldn't just move stuff over to it! Needless to say, I got rid of it, and got a PSP instead... lol.. Hey, not only does it play mp3's it also plays games and movies and other cool stuff!! grin...
The problem is the older version of XP she is running does not support USB 2.0. I have to upgrade the operating system on the computer.
Actually XP released support for usb 2.0 in January of '02. The latest service of XP is service Pack 3, a free download. If that does not work then your motherboard is the the problem, not the OS. Your motherboard if manufactured before this time might not support it. You can get it here. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322389
Right click on My computer then select properties, In there you find how much ram you have installed cpu speed and Service pack number currently installed.

Oh, by the way, if anyone out there has a gray shift console, gray radio console without rally gauge cutout, gray cluster pod, or gray door panels with or without manual window knob let me know. I don't care if there is separation or anything, just as long as there are rips or damage to the upholstery. She is on a low budget, so if you have something cheap, please PM me with what you have.
Actually we're a gaming family, through the years I've managed to wheel and deal so that each of us has a DS Lite and a PSP, so we can play 4 player games on each console and we took them with us when we went on vacation!! I also have an extra DS and extra PSP just in case or if we have company over!!
Course I could also say the same for the Fiero's! laugh... we all have our own and a spare just in case!!

Yes, I agree. Let's keep this build thread about your car, Ang. No more useless babbling.
As for the color, that will depend one when she gets a J-O-B. She swears that she will not work at McD's, but that is the only business that will hire a 15 year old. So since she lives in Hulkiland, I say she is going to work there, because this car needs a little monetary attention. We will hopefully shoot the car next warm season. We will be doing a panel off paint job in the shed. Hope she likes to sand!

A Zebra Fiero!! Awesome! My girlfriend is OBSESSED with Zebra print stuff. After all these years of naggin' at me about workin' on my GT, she's excited to see that. Maybe now, just maybe, she'll appreciate my car now.

Well, I just figured out that I accidently left Thunder's window down.. And it poured down raining afterwards. So, guess what? This weekend, we have to tear out the carpet and dry it off, then put it back in. I can't believe I did that

How is the project going? As far as XP is concerned, XP SP2 is no longer supported, so I don't know if you can upgrade directly from SP 1 to SP3. Good luck and I enjoy how the car is coming. BTW, my first one was a white 85 econo that was christened "The car of many colors".

Obviously, I don't know how computer savvy, you or your father are, but there is an OS called Ubuntu Linux out there. It is comparatively easy to set up and unless all your music is in WMA format, you can load to your IPOD. The total cost is like $35-$40 for ther book "Ubuntu for Non Geeks". It comes with the OS CD and lots more goodies than XP, Vista or 7. The big thing as I understand the IPOD is that you have to downloasd the operating software from the Apple store. Setup your Windows media Player or whatever program you rip music to your computer with, and set it to rip the CD tracks as MP3s instead of WMAs and they should load onto your IPOD.
Good luck on your project.

To clear up the XP issue, after looking I saw that she actually was running SP3, the problem was that her motherboard was pre-USB 2.0, so we put in a PCI USB 2.0 controller, and she can now run iTunes and her iPod just fine.

So...we figured out that there was too much water in the driver's side. We were going to rip out the carpet, but (luckily) we didnt. So what we did was vacuum up the water with the shop vac, then we blew it dry. Problem was that it was never going to get dry today. So, dad took out the seat and I set it up on the porch, making sure to turn it so it got plenty of sun everyday. Then, we rolled down the passenger and driver's windows. After that, we left the driver's door open and I'm going to shut the door tonight, but keep the windows down until it gets dry. It'll be fun to see how long it'll take to dry.. We wouldn't have gone out there if I didn't leave down the window PS: ITS FREEZING OUT THERE!! IT WAS FLURRING!
