Thanks, guys. I just got back home after building a porch trellis all day in the hot Texas sun and I`m worn out. I will look at all my pms and replies on this thread and get a list of people who want these. I got my thread in today and only the Charcoal grey comes close to matching so tomorrow I`m back to looking for thread. Mike
I will probably make the tall and the short version of these right now. I don`t really have a design yet that allows you to have the cigarette lighter area open. For those of you with a 4 or 5 speed if you put the drink in the passenger side holder you should be able to shift ok. Maybe the couple of people who have bought these will give their insight on how they work in a standard car.

PHOOEY!! Still, really beautiful work! I'll bookmark this and consider moving all the stuff somewhere else....maybe a console mod for the seat switches is in order! My passengers don't need an ashtray anyway!!

I was only doing the same color stitching because if I got a little crooked it didn`t show up as bad, but my stitching is getting a lot better, so I could probably now do stitching in a different color with no problem. Mike

Hey Mike. If it's just as easy then you could do mine with the black stiching. It'll match the embroidered Pegasus if that's going to be done in black. Marc

Very nice.... Love the darker grey color with the black stitching. Mine would need to be charcoal or black with red stitching to match my interior. If I can scrape up some cash maybe I will be able to order one from ya... nice work...peace
Not yet, Nolan I had to get a couple of ones done that members had ordered. This next week I`m going to make the patterns and make sure everything is in order before I start making them. They just need a bit of tweaking. Mike
Yea, Pete whenever you are ready, just let me know.

Ok, guys I wanted to put all of the info for these cupholders in one place so:
As of the end of this week I will have two versions: 1: deep liners which are appx. 2-3/8" deep 2: shallow liners which are appx. 1-1/2" deep
Either one is 85.00 which includes shipping in the lower 48 states or I will pay the first 15.00 for shipping anywhere else. The Fiero pegasus emblem is an extra 12.00
These will be offered in Black, Charcoal, Dark Tan, Beechwood and Light Grey. You can pick different color stitching at no extra charge. If you want one without straps it`s 10.00 off. The strap colors I have are Black and Light Grey although I am still looking for different colors. I usually can have one ready in a couple of days, unless I run out of something, which in that case could be a week at the most. Any other questions just PM me. Thanks, Mike

No, I haven`t taken any pics yet of one installed but I can probably do it tomorrow. I am also going to come up with a sleeve for the guys that buy the short ones and if they should happen to want a deeper one for some reason you will just be able to slide the short one out and install a taller one. It will just stick up a tad. Mike

Awesome! Are you selling these for the same price?

It will basically be an add-on for the the short ones. It will just consist of the liner with about a 1" sleeve on it that you will be able to just slip the short one out and slip the taller one in. It won`t be level with the surface the way they come, it will be sticking up about 1". It will mainly be for a little more stability when you have a taller drink or are on a twisty road. As I said somewhere earlier in this thread the shorter ones are about 1-1/2" tall and some of those plastic cups you get at takeout places will just wedge in there, but like a Sonic cup made of styrofoam is kind of loose and top heavy when full. I will make one in the next couple of days and post a pic. I figure the add-on will be under 20.00.
This is a very nice design you have here, the lower profile ones would perhaps be better for the shifting people out here. Just out of curiosity, that picture shows something I need for my car ( other than your cool cupholders) The black plastic piece right in front of the cupholder that goes from the shifter bezel down to the carpeting. I NEED one of these for my car as it has some kinda sheetmetal one in it right now and I want it to be back to stock. Any ideas about what this is called so I can ask for one? The car has the shifter plate and ash trays altho they are in rough shape compared to the rest of the car... don't mean to hijack your thread here but so far that is the best picture to describe what I am looking for. Thanks for posting it!!! peace
Pete

Pete, I`m not sure what it`s officially called. I just call it part of the console. At least if I`m thinking about the same thing you are. I actually thought about trying to make those and cover them with vinyl because the vinyl is pulling away from so many you see. Mike

Donnie I hope to have a rough one done this weekend. I have a few ideas with combining a deep one in front and a shallow one behind it so I can keep the height down. I would also have an opening where you could still get to the cigarette lighter. Hopefully I will be able to post a pic Sunday night . Mike

Much better looking with the thinner holders, although I am curious what the could hold standing alone. If the are so shallow you have to hold the beverage on every acceleration/turn than whats the point of a cup holder lol. This one shallow, one deep has my interest as well, and more "ideal". I think I'm going to hold out until I see your latest design and go from there. I plan on getting one indefinately, once I see ALL you have to offer! Keep up the great work!

Yea the shallow ones are only 1-1/2" deep but there are some hard plastic cups that will sort of wedge down in there. Plus, if you are doing a lot of highway driving they will keep the can or whatever from sliding off of the console. I`m hoping as people who bought these use them, they will give me feedback on how they might be improved or modified. Mike

I am making a glove box door, but I haven`t had much interest in it, so I`m sort of holding off on further R&D I was thinking of, in the future, making one out of fiberglass to fit the contour of the console better, but that has been put on hold. On some of these parts it`s hard to make pieces fit at close tolerances because almost all of the interior on most Fieros has some sort of warpage etc. after being subjected to years of hot temps of the sun. Ya, I know what you mean, I havent seen verymany Fiero's with no warpage... Just out of curiosity, what kind of foam are you using? and is it really dense?

I use closed cell foam in 1/4" & 1/8". I get both of them from A1 Foam & Fabric in California. It`s called Landau foam and it`s pretty sturdy but yet has a decent amount of give. Mike

Thanks, Kevin 87GT2M6, I`m sure that could somehow be adapted, but I haven`t tried it yet. Maybe I will in the next couple of weeks. Mike
Mike that would be fantastic, I'll be on the look out for it. As is its still a wonderful product. I'll be saving up for when the power plug is incorporated that way there would be no need to be lifting it or taking it off for plugging in the GPS or other devices.
Perhaps all you have to do is design it with the opening only--- so when purchased the buyer can use his existing cigarette lighter socket. This way you might be able to keeping the price the same since you would not have to include any additional hardware.

Because of the way I frame these I can`t put a connector in the place where the above picture is, but I think the item in the link below could be installed with little problems. I am going to look for one at the local marine supply house and see if they stock one. Mike
