Looking for opinions in general. I have seen the tall one for so long that I kind of got used to it. The low one looks lame next to the aggressive tall one. But I'm old (high 40s!) and wouldn't like people thinking I'm riding my kids car LOL! Or I may keep them both and swap them once in a while.

This is just my opinion so you'll have to take it for what it's worth, but I personally think that all of those tall wing stands just have too much going on and it's very hard for raised wing stands to look good on any Fiero. I'm sorry, but that's what I feel. I don't think it's any sort of customization. It's just got too much going on making the spoiler sit higher up. The OEM height of the spoiler is plenty, and if anything lowering it (like with TLG's stealth stands) can really set an OEM looking Fiero off nicely.
However, what I really feel would work best with that '88 GT (guessing it's an '88 by the front offset) with the gold wheels, tan interior, t-tops, and white body, would simply be no spoiler at all. A tall spoiler is making it look very 'fake-ish' agressive, and having a spoiler is making it look like any other Fiero GT with t-tops. While having no spoiler with a clean body - in the same scheme you have going with it now which I'm assuming you're keeping - would give it a very 'elegant' aggressive-ness. That's how I see the car.

If you are going to keep the TALL spoiler, get rid of those exhaust tips and install two Maxwell House cans and get rid of those small wheels and tires and go with a nice set of "26" DUB'S and last repaint the car a nice metalflake lime green. I almost forgot, don't forget the stickers as they will add more horsepower.
You might have guessed that I prefer the smaller spoiler.

And a bodykit still in primer.
Seriously, I'd choose either the short one, or none at all. The fastbacks looks especially clean without the wing.
While I agree the Tall one is too tall, the stock one does look pretty boring, I just see it too much for my liking. My opinion is I would do something like madcurl's Fiero, and have one in between the two you have. But if it's only a choice of the two, the stock one is the way to go.

Ive never said a negative thing here....but good god man what were you thinking? Thats got to be the most god awful spoiler ive ever seen on a fiero. It looks like an f16 plowed into the back of you...i pray to god my boys never do that or ill kill em. Its like that old song rice rice baby....although i dont think even vanilla ice would do that to his car. Ive tried on all my fieros to keep from the ricey look but your poor gt nails it. I apologize sincerely now for any hard feelings but thats my complete and honest opinion

Wow! I have never seen so much consensus on a Fiero mod. I think I'll sell the tall one I considered the no spoiler option but I think it is even more boring. Also I think the Fiero spoiler is a key identity of most Fieros specially the GT. So it will have one

This one gets my vote! I love a spoiler-less fastback. But the regular low one is pretty boring, and the tall one is way too tall. I'd go with the TLG stealth wing stands if you need the spoiler on there.
Yep. That's what I'm talking about. That's a very aggressive look just like that, while still keeping a lot of class. I'd rock that 'till the wheels fall off.

Thanks This car is somewhat nice now. I have put over 320hrs into it and it's about 75% done. Will be ready for Daytona show. This one is a keeper. About the TLG stands once I wanted them. But then I looked at them closer installed on a car and they are definitely not up to my standard. Will leave it stock. Thanks all again for your opinions.

I also think the spoiler delete is pretty slick as well.
Deleting the spoiler on my GT was the smartest thing I ever did, appearance wise. It was built wingless, but years ago someone had added an aftermarket one. It resembled the stock wing, but was a little different and the bolt spacing was different. I hated it because it was in poor shape and was hard to seal against water getting into the trunk. When I found a perfect wingless decklid in the junkyard (right color even!) I made the switch and couldn't be happier. It really looks sharp wingless, in my opinion.
My vote is for spoiler "delete". IMHO, any spoiler "spoils" the looks, especially on the fastbacks.
I mean, I MAKE the taller wing stands, but only because folks said they wanted them. I don't like them, I don't like making them, I don't like them!
TLG has the best alternative if you ask me. Look at my "Let's make wing stands" thread to get an idea of what goes into the production of the ones I make. I'm pretty sure I made the ones pictured in this thread up there, and those particular stands are the reason I refused to make anything over 8" anymore. 5" should be the absolute tallest, IMO, and they put the wing right smack in the middle of your rear view! The stands pictured above make the car look like a shopping cart to me. I prefer the wingless look on the fastbacks. I even took the factory wing off my 88'GT, just looks sleeker more pleasing.
If we were racing LeMans or something, there may be justification for a wing, even an elevated one, but for a DD, naaaaaaaa.
Just my .02
HAGO!

1. 2" extensions (you'll need to add wing tips or the wing will look like a surf board). 2. Move wing back by one hole. 3. Use a modified stands that lowers and moves the wing back.

My personal favorite would be to keep the stock stands and just move the whole wing back a bit. Or course that is only if you plan on painting the deck lid because of the old holes. You could get away with small plastic plugs to hide them. I've got to go brush my teeth now...puked a little when I saw the tall wing.

I really like the TLG supports, or something similar. I was going to suggest those. (One of the NC guys, Jack Cooke, has something similar on his gold GT, but they've been on there for over a year. Don't think they're the TLGs.)
Stock looks good too. I don't like the shopping cart look, though. (Gee what a surprise, eh?)
