Hello everyone! (yes, it's been a long time)
I am still into Fieros and while I haven't been actively working on my car or on the forum, I have been collecting parts

There was a listing on ebay for new Fiero glass, and I inquired.... and while there are 3 passenger sides in existence, there aren't any drivers.

At the risk of me looking bad if this doesn't work out....I asked and...

Pro Source Glass can have them made for us!
He has a 98% positive rating and seems to sell a lot of classic car windshields and such.

Of course this is a special order and will take up to 4 months, but it you're sick of looking at the scratches here's the deal:
They are china glass(surprise), and tinted similar to OEM.

From Richard:
5 sets would be $85 ea side ($170 pair) and for 10 sets we can get the pricing to $65 ea ($130 pair)
We will waive any box fees for either deal. UPS will vary from $35-55 a pair .
Of course if there could be a few sets sent to the same location it would be a big freight savings.
Turnaround time is around 4 months from production until it arrives in the States.
We would not take any deposits until I know they are produced and getting ready to be shipped to the States. We require 50% deposit at that time.

So....please post if you're interested!
And when I say interested, I mean really interested and not going to disappear when it comes down to calling him up and ordering.

If we can get 10 solid orders, I'm in for at least a set. Both sides on my car are toast from scratching the dew wipe guides so many times. Did you post this in the mall?

In in for 1 set if we get the 10 or more group price.

Have you done business with them before? Can we check their references other than the eBay rating?

Assuming these fit and function as good as OEM, I'm in for 1 set if we get the 10 or more group price.

If they fit like OEM, I am in as well. Just bought an OEM right side still in the package I can keep as a spare.

I would like to get in on this action, but new door windows isn't in the budget & is pretty far down the list. Mine are all kinds of scratched up.

If you have some stragglers, I'm in, but it wouldn't be until mid summer. At the earliest.

YES! I'm in. i can't stand looking @ the scratches on my windows when behind them is something other worldly. That and while i can wire anything up and build with all kinds of materials, i can't tint worth a crap.

Mark me down for one set! Mine are scratched horribly, and when I get to redoing the whole thing, I need some new glass to tie it all together!

At $130 I may be in for two sets. How hard are these to replace? Do they need to be done only by a glass specialist?

I am also in for a set. What guarantee do we have that they will fit? The China thing is a bit scary..

Can they not reproduce the quarter glass as well and just make it from Glass instead of Lexan?

You bet I'm in, even at the 5 amount, but I don't think there's going to be an issue getting 10. What does the price go to if we get 20, or 50 people?

I think it may be a 7 or an 8 out of 10 overall. I think the main thing is to not bolt them up too tight.
Adjusting all the guides is probably the hard part. I believe there is a procedure in the service manual

Richard emailed me a little more info this morning.
The Chinese company is Fuyao Glass

They got a "supplier of the year" award from GM and looks like they service many automakers

I just spoke with him on the phone.
Richard was very helpful and enthusiastic about helping us.
There are possibly a couple of OEM windows out there he's checking on also.
He ships internationally. He also explained to me how some of the glass business works.

Soooo.. if we get enough orders, there is the possibility of a lower price.

How about reproduction GT quarter glass...in glass? Who wants to send him a pair to reproduce...they'll get the 1st set free!
I assume he'll have to see them to see if it's possible.

Yes, I spoke with him on the quality, and he stands behind the products he sells.
He says he never had a problem with the china glass....even to Ferrari and Rolls Royce customers.

They will be slightly tinted as original.
