i went by a chevy dealer and saw that the other day and was thinking the same thing. i also looked into the rx7 and i think it was a taurus hatchback as well. but i went with the camaro because its been done already.

ok i put another layer of fiberglass on so the total is 3. let me just say ive done fiberglassing with molds before but this stuff is DIFFICULT. i was gonna take pictures but it looks so crappy ill save myself the embarassment.

my big problem... airbubbles... especially on corners WTF!!!!! that and im extremely high right now despite em doign this in a well ventalated area. after its all smoothed out and finished ill post pics until then ill just keep the thread updated verbally.

did a lot of sanding today sanding on the fiberglass for the cut trunk sanding on the clip so i can glass the lip, sanding on the body filler on the end of the hatch glass. im all sanded out yesterday i fabed up part of the mounting brackets for the hinges so hopefully this weekend ill be able to finish those up and get them mounted to the frame.

im trying to make the lip that the glass will sit on but im having a hard time fiberglassing the nochie clip. i cant seem to get the fiberglass to sit right and was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to do this?

ya i just have a decklid cut in half and ill put hinges on it with a lock. and then i have a seperate lock for the glass.

The question I ask myself seeing this is why one would try to make a very unique mid-engine car into one that looks like an old import front-engine car. Similar to putting big ram-type scoops on a Fiero front hood... but to each his own, of course.

what old import front engine car does this look like? and i just wanted to put the glass in to show off the engine truthfully. well that and seperate the trunk from the engine bay.

My opinion means nothing, but this takes away from the look of the Fiero... Doesn't fit the lines of a rather rectangular wedge shaped car.

if you did that GT tail lights mod (GT + Coupe clip) you'd have enough room for that glass as it is. Just an idea.
