I've always been fascinated with about anything Ferrari and what made me go with Red to begin with on my Formula, but I've always seen Ferrari's with Yellow Calipers. Now I know some of you will think of Ronald McDonald or something lol, but Ferrari's I think look awesome with this combo. My car has always had Red Calipers, but since I'm putting on the Yellow Stuff Pads from EBC, I thought I might change it up a bit and try painting the calipers Yellow since the Red has been on there for several years. What do you guys think? I attached a pic of the Ferrari and my car to show the differences.
Thoughts?

1) They're Ferraris and they are works of design art.
2) Red and Yellow are Ferrari's main colors. The callipers are yellow to match the yellow background of the prancing horse badges.
It won't look bad on your Fiero, but it's probably not going to look as great as it does on the Ferrari, either; so don't set your hopes or expectations too high.
I've toyed with the idea too and decided to body match my calipers (red) instead of going with yellow. The Ferrari looks great, but it has the yellow center caps that in my opinion are what really tie it together. If you like it, go for it. If you're worried about it looking odd or standing out too much, find a way to tastefully tie in some yellow that's visible from the side.
It's cheap and easy enough to change the color on your calipers if you don't like the way the yellow looks.

I plan on taking the center caps off and doing the same thing as the Ferrari and making it yellow with a black design on the center or putting our FIERO logo in there with a decal, etc. The yellow is definitely more of an orange/yellow color than a bright yellow. It needs a little bit of a mix to make it look good. I will see what I can come up with, worst case, I can just go back to how I have it. And as far as my rotors, they are 12" rotors
Thanks, Amir

The Ferrari calipers look to be more of a "school bus yellow" that a bright yellow. I don't think a bright yellow would look as good.
I'm thinking the same thing about the yellow now that I'm looking at it and thinking. A bright yellow would look funky. I want an orange/yellow combo in a sense. I wonder if anyone makes a caliper paint that is similar. The last time I did my calipers, I had them painted to match the paint on the car back in 2002!
You don't need special caliper paint. Any enamel will do such as Tremclad or Rustoleum... I've been driving cars with enamel-painted calipers for years. They simply don't heat up enough to damage the paint.

From what I see, the yellow is too yellow. It will look kind of goofy. I need some yellow that has some orange in it to give it that warm yellow look like the Ferrari above. I know I could have a body shop mix up some yellow to paint them, but would rather find some spray can paint.

Why do you want to highlight the relatively small caliper? I understand on a flashy car, with big brakes/wheels.... but this is a stock fiero caliper. Just asking...

Just kind of wanting to change things up. I agree, I need to just get a big brake kit, but in the mean time, I just was interested in doing something different.

Those look like 16" rims with 12" rotors, maybe 13"s. I love the rims!!!
Yes, 16's with 13" rotors shoehorned behind him. I too love this style, but will be replacing the same set on the LS4/F40 swap when I upgrade to 10 1/2" 18's in the rear.

I don't think you'll have much luck finding a custon color in a spray can unless you go to a body shop. If you have a spray gun or an airbrush, you can mix your own colors till your heart's content. Just buy the pint sized yellow Tremclad and add a drop of red until you achieve the color you like.
