Divi, thats a beauty of a ride! I know you used Avery for the wrap. I havent checked it out much yet, but im trying to decide between wrap or paint.

I see you said next time youd paint more then wrap, why do you say so?

Also which do you suppose would stand up better, paint or wrap?

1 more ???, where can I get a taillight panel like yours for my notchie? That panel looks very cool!

If done yourself paint would be much cheaper. It's really a cost issue. A good vinyl job can run just as much as a paint job. Plus vinyl will start to fade in about 5 to 7 years if it's your daily driver, but if it's just a weekender that's nothing to worry about. Some folks actually paint their car then put vinyl over it. The vinyl acts like a protective barrier and when it's worn out you just peel it off.

The carbon fiber does have to be vinyl of course and the good stuff is actually much harder to remove. While it's not a permenant application and can be removed it's not really meant to.

So I guess it's just a matter of choice. If you don't know how to paint but have a lot of patience then vinyl can be the answer....if it's your first time be prepared to waste a bit. And it's a real pain in the *** to get it to conform around corners and recesses.

The taillight panel I think I have linked in a prevous post.

The work looks good. I think it might look better with red mirrors, though. Maybe you could ask 85SEnochie to photoshop it for you.

I can actually do that myself. Think I prefer the black:

Wanted to see them side-by-side. Tough decision. I think gloss red is better than the original flat black but gloss black might be better still. Wrapping them in matching carbon fiber might be the best.

how much $ and where do you get the wrap--it looks great--my car is pretty faded--might consider instead of repaint

I searched your thread before posting to see if you had done the mirrors but didn't find any pics of them being wrapped. Can we have a closer look?

The wrap cost about $600.00. If you can it yourself then it's just a lot of time involved. Installation can be expensive.

I'll see if I can get some better pics of the carbon fiber. It doesn't do well with cameras.
