When I had my 85 notchback restored, we went with the Formula style nose, and the GT style rear bumper; and added GT style ground effects. I was unsure how to make the red-to-gray transition on the nose, and came up with the idea of using the "dots" Indy tape stripe turned upside down all the way around the car. You can see pics of the restoration here; I would have taken and posted a few closeups specific to this thread but the car is back at the resto shop having T-Tops installed.

That is a Beautiful car! I have one of those noses I might have to use on my 86 SE now that I have seen this. Thanks guys.

And the tape he used is on page 33 here 5 pictures down.

Thanks very much; my resto shop did an outstanding job with the project; I was extremely pleased with how it turned out.
