Ok this was last spring (late) when they started to film the new Tom Hanks movie Road to Perdition. which is due out July 19th. Here is a little discription of what the movie is about.
Depression-era Chicago, a city riding a tide of liquor and blood, ruled by guns, graft, and gangsters. At the top of the heap is Al "Scarface" Capone...and Capone's most feared hitman is Micahel O'Sulliva, known to friends and enimes alike as the "Angel of Death." But when Sullivan's eight-year-old son is witness to a gangland execution, father and son find themselves facing off against the most merciless gangster of all time. A must see, and Oscar winning...

Cast:
Tom Hanks (Michael O'Sullivan)
Tyler Hoechlin
Jude Law (Maguire, aka "The Reporter")Jennifer Jason Leigh
Al Molina (Al Capone)
Paul Newman
Stanley Tucci (Frank Nitti)
Liam Aiken
Dylan Baker
Kevin Chamberlain
Daniel Craig

Here is a few Pictures of when they were filming in West Dundee, IL. The small city was transformed from a 2001 sceen to a 1939 set. Note the fake snow, the old cars... I think is was once in a life time moment...

This one was taken with Black and White film to give the sceen a little more 1930's look to it... WOW
