Well since Cliff said I could(even though I really dont' need his permission) I am going to start a new official Fiero spinchat.
You won't be able to acces it through the forum here. you will have to go the long way and go to www.spinchat.com and go from there. The name of the chat to keep it simple will be _Fiero.nl2
If you need step by step instructions I can post them here.
Anyways I just wanted to say that anything goes in this new chat. Flaming, name calling all of it. You dont' even have to talk about fieros. Talk about whatever you want. its just going to have the Fiero name for the chat is all.
Starting this for some of the younger guys out there who dont' need old squares telling them how to act in a PUBLIC forum nonetheless. Like I said pretty much anything goes. There will be a moderator as whoever signs in first will be the mod but dont' worry if you dont' even like what I say and you are mod then boot me. Dont'really care. I am not going to stay signed into the thing like someone I wont' name in the original spinchat to "moderate" it at all times.
Its a public forum and to say that you are going to assign someone to moderate it from people talking about whatever is a crock if you ask me. Its like me telling a forum member that they can go moderate #cars and that everyone else has to put up with it cause I said so. Doesn't make much sense does it?

yes there will be a mod but the first person to sign in automatically gets assigned mod. If that person doesn't want to be mod, then they can sign off and if other people are in the room then they can sign back on and not be mod anymore.
Yea Smoooth I can see it being locked or what not but I just want to let others know there is another option out there. Thats all.
And Stimpy I know you dont' care. But like I said its to have another option out there for people who dont' want to be bound by limitations in a public forum(saying it again)
Then look on the left hand of the screen and you will see a link called "chat rooms" Click that
it will take you to a new page and then you will have to look about in the middle of the screen and it will have a box where you can insert any chatroom name you want. Just type in "_fiero.nl2" without the quotations of course and it will take you to that room.
Chat away then.

I wasn't gonna say anything directly to you, but I gotta address this. Seeing as how the channel _Fiero.nl was setup by Cliff(owner & moderator of this forum) for this forum. I see no valid reason why he cannot say who he wants to be moderating that chat. If you and others on this chat do not find this fair, I can offer Cliff a remedy that many forum members I've talked to are plenty ready to accept.

Why attack shaun? other people have even opened up seperate fiero resource forum's because of some of the elderly people here that think they run the **** . im not saying cliff as he his the owner of the forum.

It's not like there are hundred's of members in there everyday , there are at the most 12 or less a night which does not reqire you to sit in there 24 hours even when your not home. If your gonna be a moderator there stay home 24 and act like one , being a moderator reqires one name , not two.
I got an interesting email today from a forum member , who is well respected and quite well known. We were discussing engines and I mentioned Shaun had helped me with a few things , here's what he wrote

Nothing to do with my chances of being taken seriously , I didn't write it. I agree with it. there are quite a few people on this forum who would rather post 5000 posts a day , then sit and listen to people with actual intelligence.
I hope no one gets their undies in a knot about it. As Stimpy said shaun is an intigator and so many of you continously play right into it , then whine about what he says. Kind of like throwing gas on a fire , then complaining about getting burned. One of the main whiners when it comes to Shaun ..and to a lesser extent myself has sent me PM's and emails asking me please stop picking on them..then a day later slamming both of us on the forum.
It's just a internet forum , some of you people take it so seriously I wonder if you have lives outside of fiero's and in particular the internet.

I have to agree with Cliff. I found this forum this year, and it has been immensely helpful with my Fiero problems. Lately however, I have been noticing quite a bit more bickering and downright rude posts. It begins to degrade my enjoyment of the forum. Humor is great, and not agreeing with someone is okay. But intentionally annoying, trolling, and/or attacking someone personally is not the thing to do. For that, I agree with Cliff. Ban them. This place should be enjoyable for all.
Okay I'm done for now. Did that make any sense?

Cliff, you know I left the forum a little over a year ago because I guess I'm an 'old square' that doesn't want to tell people what to do, but thinks that people should respect each other to know what NOT to do. Unfortunately, in the case of the internet that is usually not the case. People hide behind their little keyboards and say whatever they want. Things they would not say to someone in real life or they would get knocked in the teeth.
I started coming back to the forum when I put my T-top up for sale, and I started getting info about the Run For The Hills. I commend you on the things you are doing to make this forum a better place to hang out. Not censorship, but good ole fashion rules to protect EVERYONE. Not just us old squares or the young punks...
