The Cobb County school board placed the disclaimer on the books two years ago after more than 2,000 parents complained the schools were not teaching about the controversy over evolution among scientists and not informing students of alternative theories.

Imagine the arrogance of saying that the mere challenge of the Darwin’s Evolution theory as not proven fact somehow violates the separation of Church and State. And that the mention of their being a Creator is trying to establish religion.
Are the arrogant exponents of the Evolutionary Theory so threatened by the challenge of God as Creator that they have to censure any argument for His cause? Why can’t students approach this important area of learning with an open mind?
This is not at all what our founding fathers had in mind when they wrote the U.S. Declaration of Independence. They declared;

In this document, the founders of our country declared their right to fight against the King of England and to break away from his tyranny.
They based the justification of their cause on God as follows, “We, therefore, the Representatives of the United States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions … And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”
The entire basis of our government is based on this foundational precept that men are not granted their rights and freedoms by men, but by God the Creator.
Therefore, we do not get our rights and freedoms from man-made governments, but from the Creator-God. If we remove that cornerstone, there is no justification for our form of government. It becomes a house built on sand with no rationale for existence.
Almost all of the pilgrims who fled Europe and risked their lives to found this country were fleeing from the religious tyranny of State run Churches. But they were not fleeing from personal ‘faith in Jesus Christ and the right to worship Him’. They fled here to freely exercise that right out of the reach of the Roman inspired state Churches.

When they wrote, “Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion …”, it was against the background of what they had fled in Europe, where State sponsored Churches brought nothing but tyranny upon those who would worship Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible.
It simply meant that Congress was not to establish one Christian denomination over another.
The second clause was meant to prevent Congress from advocating one denomination’s right to prevent another denomination’s free expression of its faith. It declared, “or prohibiting the free exercise thereof …”
It was never in the mind of framers of the Bill of Rights to exclude religion – especially Christianity – from being expressed both by individuals in the government and in public places.
All of the original colleges were founded for the express purpose of training Christian ministers as pastors and missionaries. Just look up the history of Harvard, Princeton, Yale, et al. Most Americans today would be astounded by what they find.
If the minority of atheists and agnostics in this country want to change the very foundational concept of our government, then we invite them to leave. No one is making them stay.
But don’t try to make this country into something it was never founded to be. If you don’t like seeing ‘Manger scenes’ at Christmas time, look the other way. If you don’t like seeing a cross worn around someone’s neck, avoid that person.

Well stated!!! It's either now or never. The entire basis of this nation is so people can believe what they want. Letting people express their religion is not a violation of rights. Hearing the words "one nation under God" is not forcing religion on anybody. If those people had faith in their own religion or beliefs hearing or seeing references to Christian beliefs would not offend them. Our freedom is being taken away, and the people that are causing it to happen think that they are gaining something. However, the truth of the matter is that they are taking away freedom a little at a time.
If you were trying to force religion on people you would punish them for not believing it. Having the right to express what you believe, and letting people decide if they believe as well, is what made our country go great. Now that right has been taken away by people who are obviously insecure about something. We need to stand up for what is right, and it's either now or never.
I am not sure what will happen to our great country if we keep heading in the direction we are going. I do know that we are slowly loosing or rights and freedom, and the people that are claiming that their rights are being violated are the ones that are not smart enough to realize that they are helping take their own freedom away.
I know that I am willing to stand up for what I believe in, and do whatever it takes to make this a better place for our children. I am scared to death by the things I see every day. It is sad that our great nation is about to fall flat on it's face for turning it's back on God, but I am afraid that it is closer than we could imagine.

Oh yes, I'm being VERY intolorant, no doubt about it, no lie and no shame for expressing it. In fact, deaths in the Tuol Sleng interrogation center in Phnom Penh, which is the capitol of Kampuchea, reached 582 in a day."
Then in Chinese history of the thirteenth to seventeenth centuries there were three periods of wholesale massacre. The numbers of victims attributed to these events are assertions rather than reliable estimates. The figures put on the Mongolian invasion of northern China form 1210 to 1219 and from 1311 to 1340 are both on the order of 35 million people. While the number of victims of bandit leader Chang Hsien-Chung, known as the Yellow Tiger, from 1643 to 1647 in the Szechwan province has been put at 40 million people.
China under Mao Tse Tung, 26.3 million Chinese. According the Walker Report, 63.7 million over the whole period of time of the Communist revolution in China. Solzhenitsyn says the Soviet Union put to death 66.7 million people. Kampuchea destroyed one third of their entire population of eight million Cambodians. I think it started from a movie, "Red Dawn". About the Russians at war with America and they had thought they conquered us and had renamed us something similar to the spelling in question.

I have no problem with REAL Christians, but I absolutely hate people like the original poster. They are total hypocrites! The sad thing is that most of the South is exactly like him. I only know one REAL christian, and he's a cartoon character on the Simpsons.
I sometimes wonder if they read the same book that I did.
This country was built on all people and religions being equal, not just straight White Christians.

It's funny they used China as a model of secular mass killings. Yeah! It did happen! There was mass starvation and people were executed for being worthless drug addicts, but thats ok. Religion is off the books for mass genocide just because it is religion.

As an agnositic myself, I do not care what religion you practice, nor do I care that they are tax exempt, nor do I feel threaten any way by their presence. I do not care that you pass out little New Testements in Elementary Schools, no do I care that they only way to move up in the company is to attend the same church your boss does.
I do not care that swear words, tits, and asses cannot be shown on network TV, nor do I care if you pledge allegence, pray in public school, say creatisim is the answer, Jesus is Lord on your bumber sticker, or put up a ten comandment representation on your local court house walls.
One thing I do not care about, is becoming a Christan. It doesn't make sense too me, nor does it spark any interest. I know I'm the minority, but if you feel like oppressing the rights of minorities then go ahead. You say that Christanity is being threaten, that is what whites said about black people, Native Americans, Hispanics, Asians, I can go on and on.
The only thing to fear about Christanity is to look in the mirror and look what you are doing to yourselves. Chirstans cannot even agree about being christans.
