What is the difference between suprnova.org and supernova.org?? The first one is down since yesterday and for the other one you have to sign up....?? Does anyone know another site to download bittorrents?

I made it up through 3 sponsors, got the GTO decked it out with all the level 3 parts maxed out power and drove it as long as I could. It got to the point that no matter what I did to it or how I drove I was just gettting out run in races. I moved to the next car up, dang I cant remeber the name. It was the car that the guy drove in To Fast To Furious 2 in the first part of the movie. GTR something. With all the level 3 parts on it, it is wicked fast.
Just remember to do all the dyno tunning for each seperate race style and you will never lose a race with it.

Hey Capt Fiero, have you taken notice what actual city Bay City is modeled after? Happened to realise it this evening after I saw what is undoubtably Canada Place complete with a cruise ship tied up along side, although it's placed in the wrong spot, look up along the coast in Beacon Hill.
Then I opened the world map, and sure enough, geographicially it's right, city in the center, 2 water crossings to the north which leads to hilly/ mountianous areas, and an industrial area to the south. Even the tunnel in the city area is roughly in the correct place, although a bit longer than what I remember.
HA ! I knew it rained there alot for a reason!
I turned the fog,and horizon fog off, and turned on the increased contrast thingy in the video settings, sure makes the game look crisper.
Here's my lildevil inspired MX-5, pic looks a bit grainy, dunno if thats from converting it from a .bmp to a .jpg file or what.

Well I downloaded this game about a week ago off Suprnova and love it. Although using the keys on the laptop did eventually start to get annoying, Maybe I shouldnt have played for 10-12hr stretches lol.
Well I am still on vacation but I bought it for my son (the xbox version) so I can play it that way when I get back home.
Then I decided that I just needed to try it on a gaming system, so I traded in that Street Syndicate game......(I thought it was horrible), and now have NFSU2 no gamecube too.
I guess buying it for both systems removes the guilt of downloading it for free lol
I would love to know if someone finds a way to import your own music on the pc version.
I am up to the 3rd sponsor and am using the Supra. ;o)

I just press print screen. By the way, i broke the UP button on my laptop from playing this game =) And now i think my shift key is going. Damn, thats a vowel... but I still have a full warranty for a year =)
I am not a big fan of the graphics. When you get the full carbon fiber body kit and spinners and scissor doors and folding hood you can have a 10.0 star car without all the goofy decals and stuff.

Sorry my net connection is up and down today, not sure why, thought it was my torrent stuff causing it, but I shut that down and still sporatic net connection so the pics may or may not show up.
But I beat the game, and there is what you get told at the end of the game. I am not going to spoil it for the rest of ya, but the last race is well uhm, you will see.
When do you get the RX7? Ive got supra, golf, is300
I thought I'd have it by now. I want a wankel
Do you have to buy some cars to progress in the game? I've had my 240 and celica for quite a while now
The RX7 will soon show up, should be within the next 3 cars if I remember correctly.
I'm pretty sure you don't need to get new cars ( you don't have to buy them, they are free ), I'm up to a 7.5 something star car now and I only picked up 1 other car so far.

Ok now that I have beat the game I decided to have some fun, I loaded the game onto the 2nd computer sitting right next to me, and then tried to race myself with one hand on one keyboard and the other hand on the other keyboard I did it via the lan option. Which I might add is a bit of a PITA to set up.
You have to load the game on both rigs, Ok that is to be expected then load the lan options, still no problems, then make on the server and one the host alright doing pretty good so far, but wait, why wont the first machine see the 2nd machine. What the heck, fiddle with settings, and then hit the windows key to pop open the desktop only to find "Windows Firewall" do you want to Unblock Need for Speed" or do you want to keep blocking it. Argh, ok unblock it, then do the same to the the other machine to unblock the firewall. Ah that is better both machines can now see each other. Ok lets try to race. Uhm I can see the other machine and I can see that he is serving, but I cant see any races. Find out that it has a stupid filter on by default that you need to set to the same race as you are setting on the server. Ok ya now we can all see each other and we can see the races. Ok double click on the race I want to race. Oops got to go back and set it to allow only 2 races to play. Default is set for a minimum race of 4 or more people. They dont think that 2 people will want to play together. Jesh. Ok fix that. Now we are going to race. Uhm wait, and wait and wait, why is it not going to racing mode. Oops there is a "Ready" that is shaded that the 2nd person needs to click on to tell the server that they are ready to race, ok click that and away we go.
I use my super decked out max performace rig as the lead car in a chase race. I get out to the highway sections and just hold the throttle wide open letting it ride the walls. I use a stock 350Z to try and keep up. LOL, it was so funny, with the GTR just hitting walls, I still could not get the 350Z to catch it. But what was the best is getting the 3rd person view. You drive the 1st car in front of the 2nd car and then start goofing around while looking at the other screen. So you are seeing yourself do all your spins but not in the regular camera angle.

Have a question, maybe more for you David as you have finished the game.
I just started the 4th sponsor - I',m 17% finished that and 44% finished the game. I had the opportunity for a Magazine cover, and when it went to save the game it locked up.
When I rebooted and restarted the game I went and redid that run to the magazine photoshoot, saved the game and them went driving around in that last section of Coal Harbor. I found 3 new shops, and at each new shop it unlocked several things each.
I was able to add the 3rd stage Turbo, Nitrous, Brakes, Weight Reduction, Gearbox, 3rd stage trunk layout, suicide doors, split hood, engine accents, engine neon, trunk neon and I forget what else in a matter of minutes without doing a single race.
I went to Extreme stage of every performance upgrade, and went to a 10 star car - from a 7.12. When I went back to the explore mode, I had 4 DVD covers all set to get ( 4 stars on the map at once )
About the only thing it looks like didn't come unlocked was the widebody kits.
Do all those upgrades happen that quick, and early? Or is it possible something fudged up with the game when it locked up and I restarted the computer?

Uhm you are a lot closer to finishing the game than 44%.
I think more like 80%
The wide body kit never did open up for me until I finished the game. I think it is more or less the final prize for completion. Then turning all your parts to Carbon Fibre at once.
10.0 star is the max you can have on your car, so the rest of the stuff is just for looks sake.
So long as you have completed all the races on a given map you are pretty close to beating the game.
As for locking up, it never locked up for me once. There were 2 special events that I never was able to get to in time, I tried and tried, but finally just gave up on them and moved on to races.

As to your main question, that was about right for me, the last few things came rather quickly for me as well. I had like 55,000 and no place to spend it and then all of a sudden everything just started showing up for me to spend money on.

Not yet, 11 more world races and 2 more URL events yet, have the 4 DVD covers and the 3 Sponsor events completed, getting close.
Think I found one of those magazine covers you couldnt get, I tried for an hour with several different cars before I gave up, I could get within visual distance , but never quite there.
Is it me, or is it the closer you get to the end, the worse the cars handle? Even if i'm doing say 35 mph, light throttle and ever so slightly turn the wheel the cars slide all out of control , this is during a race, driving around in the explore mode I can hammer through the city wide open and be in complete control.
Maybe tomorrow I'll finish it up.

Ya know I thought it was just me or not tunning the car suspension enough. But I noticed the same thing, especially in the URL races, I would be mid apex in a corner and the back end would just swing around on me. I had to go in and adjust the front sway bar full stuff and loosen the rear bar up just to get the car to hold a solid corner.

I think enough people have played it to the end, I did not want to say anything, but ya that last race was a joke, I think I had like a min to a min and a half on the guy when I crossed the finish line. I was all prepaired for this super hard race and then I could have pulled over got a burger at Burger King, taken a crap and still beat him.
I have found that there is still stuff to do in the game. If you go into your career mode and go to the world map there are races that you did not have to do to finish the game. Some there are still some races you have not done before and it can be fun. I am finding some of the downhill drifts to be very hard.
