im looking for a stuntbike currently for some parking lot stunts. hoping to find one with the twelve o clock bar and engine cage preinstalled along with the riser hande bars and no front fairing. wanna stunt but dont wanna drop my r1. so gonna buy a cheapy stunter 600
Yeah, I found out the hard way that you want to learn anything and everything on a cheapo, not your nice bike. I'd be a wealthier man if I hadn't laid my Kat down.

Good call on not beating on the R1... just be careful learning & do it in a closed environment!

It's a 2002 Suzuki TL1000R. I bought it wrecked and totaled from a friend. It had 515 miles on it when I got it. There was minor frame damage from his "over backwards" wheelie and that was why it was totaled. Well, since I bought it from him, and it never saw the insurance companies hands, I had a clean title with it. After investing about $1500 more into it, it was what you see above. (I love Ebay and the fact that I can paint and cut vinyl decals. ) Anyways, when I sold it, another friend (knowing that it was once wrecked.) ended up buying it. He gave me my asking price of $6500 no questions asked. It had 3000 or so miles on it. Damn I miss it!! Oh well, there will be a Ducati with my name on it in a few years.
This is what it looked like when I bought it:
I sure do miss her. I sold her about 2 years ago.

Well I picked up my 750 Katana last Tuesday. It's been either cold or cold and raining(with a little bit of snow thrown in for good measure) since I got it. It's just sitting in the garage looking all sad.

I have a 1981 Suzuki GS850G (w/ full fairing) as well as a 1982 Suzuki dirt bike. They both need a bit of engine work but I figure I can try to fix them up next spring when the weather is a bit warmer...assuming I can find our buried work table out in the garage. LOL

Last Saturday I picked up an 82 Yamaha SX650 with a Velorex sidecar with 6100 miles on it. I'd post pics but having a little glitch loading PIP on a Mac...

I'll get a pic of my Kat up once I get it back from the body shop. I laid it down again, almost exactly one year after the first time. Wore a nice little hole through the ferring and cost me yet another mirror (think I'm on my 4th one now). We just got the seat redone and once the hole is fixed he's gonna fix up the paint too so it'll be lookin' good.
Nice black Kat! I have a couple of cool paint jobs that someone on the katriders.com forum photoshopped on the later model kats... gives 'em a really cool look:
Oh yeah, and my friend Matt just spent about 8 or 9 hours removing the original stickers from my '92 Kat 750... It looks so much better (although there was a lot of hidden damage that showed up).
I've seen this thread for a while, just havent gotten around to getting the picture up. Here's my ride, a 1985 Honda Nighthawk 650SC
Tim
I had a 1985 Honda Shadow, but as I recall, the Nighthawk 650SC was considered to be an extremely reliable and comfortable ride. It had hydraulic lifters back when most bikes didn't. Nice ride.

It was a great bike to have. I really enjoyed it. But it started to show it's age. I liked the Nighthawk so much, I bought this:
2002 Honda Nighthawk 750, had 3800 miles on it when I bought it. Up over 5k now.
I sold the old 650 to my brother. He didn't have it more than 2 weeks, and he gets rear ended at a stop light. Totaled the bike. Right now we're working on getting the money from the insurance company. Have to figure out what he's going to do. Luckily he's ok.

Those would look pretty sweet. I hadn't seen those pics on katriders.
What kind of damage did you find, scraped up fairings? Nothing serious I hope.

I knew the bike had been set down on the right side... there was some rattle-can paintwork down there that we pretty much just wiped off with some paint thinner. So there is some surface scratching & missing paint on the right side fairings... easily fixable though. I actually think it looks better cleaned off than it did with the rattle can paint.
What surprised me a bit was what appeared to be a hairline crack became much more obvious when the stickers came off... a decent size crack on the left lower fairing. Again, something I can fix (although not quite as easily as the other side)... but nothing that concerns me much (I pretty well knew the condition when I bought it).
At this point I'm in the process of cleaning the carbs - so I need to reassemble the airbox yet (but it's supposed to rain nearly every day this week, so I'm not too concerned).
