Adults say it.. kids hear it.. kids repeat it.. kids hurt someone..the victim grows "Thick skin".. That kids grows up and allows this to perpetuate.

while we are on the subject of name calling. it got me thinking of a couple of events. a year or two ago i was outside doing some work. three 3rd-maybe 4th graders got off the bus. two white kids and a black kid. i hear one of the white kids say "i'm not the one who called you a ni**er, it was so and so." the kids talked as they walked down the side walk then went their ways.
i just sat there for a few moments. when did grade schoolers start saying ****** ? hell i grew up in the country in a small town. don't think i heard the word until 5th grade and even then didn't know what it meant.
then last week i was hanging up x-mas lights. i hear "Whore!" i look over to see some high school boys driving by in a car yelling at a girl, probably a sophmore or so, who was walking down the side walk. wtf? she didn't look like a whore. i really felt bad for her as whe walked by looking at the ground.
i'm not terribley old but i just didn't do that kind of stuff when i was younger. trouble maker yes, name calling..well i was more creative.
i'm not a violent person but if i EVER hear some jackass call my girls a "whore" they better be bigger or faster than me.
