tutnkmn, you have a PM
And yes I also didn't need to click on the link to know what it was and for all of you who don't know, a ysalamiri is a Bird-like creature that repels the force. Any force user cannot manipulate the force while in the company of one. Thrawn used them to protect himself from the jedi.

They were also used them so he could quickly crew the ships from the Katana fleet. He had figured out that it was a clone's connection to the original through the Force that drove clones insane. With the ysalamiri, he could create fully grown, trained crewmembers (and a clone Luke Skywalker from Luke's severed hand).

(from memory, I'm such a geek)

I got to hang out with Peter Mayhew after a show he did here. He's really cool. One of the really cool things about doing shows and fundraisers is you actually get some down time with the celebrities. Gunnar Hansen and David Prowse are also at the top of the cool guys to hang with out list.

I was at one con where Gunner Hansen (Leatherface), Kayne Hodder (Jason Vorhees) and Doug Bradley (Pinhead) were all guests. The three of them got together to hit the room parties after all the appearances were done. It was the unholy trinity of horror.

Yeah it's fun to hang out with the celebs! If you ever get a chance you have to take advantage of it.

I have actually had the privelage of eating dinner at the Mayhew's home. Peter's wife is one of the most amazing women I have ever met.

The pic with Teemura is at a private party after a show in Plano.

I have never gotten the chance to hang with David Prowse.

I have become really good friends with Jeremy Bulloch (the original Boba Fett), and have had private meals with him and converse regularly with him by telephone and his personal (not public) email.

red double bladed lighsaber to match his head gear. all the other turtles are in the diorama also with matching colored lightsabers. figured it would be fun to give Raph the double bladed red rather than a single blade like all the others

(good catch though...you are the first to point that out out of everyone who has seen that since it was made back in 2002)
