Well yesterday was fun. I was on the way to my bank, and when I got to the corner of 3rd and MacDonald, things became more interesting. There, in the middle of the street, one door up and unmoving, was a DeLorean DMC-12. The battery had died in the gas station on the corner, so the driver tried rolling down the ramp to start it. It didn't work, and now he was stuck. I ended up helping to push him out of traffic.
I snagged some quick pictures while he tried to flag down someone for a jump start.
The last one I saw was in 2002 or so, in Mukilteo, Washington. The license plate said IN2TIME, which is what the tow DeLorean at http://in2time.com/ says. It wasn't a tow truck when I saw it though.

I saw one yesterday. I told a friend at work and he said if you check the DMV database it will list a flux capacitor as a part. You cant actually buy it though.

There is a house a few streets over that has 2 of them in the driveway. Never see those anymore. People who drive by my house probably think the same thing when they notice the pair of Fieros in the street.

I almost had one of them for my first car (2001). I had cash in hand and everything. I went to look at it, got in, closed the door, and smacked my head on the roof. I was about 3 inches too tall for the car

I understand that you can still buy a "NEW" DeLorean from a guy in Texas who bought out the old factory in Ireland and now assembles new DeLoreans upon request. In fact, there was a short TV news story about it within the last year. Wonder what it would cost? Ed

Cincinnati is a huge delorean place. A guy I live with has one, we spent the past year fixing it up, and in that time we met two guys that together build a ton of deloreans each year. The one guy has a huge storage warehouse where he keeps his 10-12. he also has a bricklin. the other has a really nice garage with about 8 deloreans. Funny thing though he had a fiero GT in the middle of all of them.

I'm near Cincinnati and see them quite frequently. Not really a "hey, there's a DeLorean" excitement any more. Same with Fieros, I see them daily around here.

Yep, that's located here in Houston. According to a show on Discovery, you can get one for 42k... Scary...
Since this is a "Sightings" thread, I felt it necessary to include a couple pics to back up my above statement. Not so great but I did not want the owner to think I was being too intrusive.

A few years back the DeLorean club around here had a special showing of back to the future in a local theatre and I just had to go take a look.
A few years later I actually met the owner of the car you saw most there at the Palo Alto Concours De Elegance at Stanford. Cool guy named Jeff. We talked DeLoreans and Fieros he he. he was nice enough to take a pic of me with his car.

After looking over several photos posted I am wondering if the DMC photo I posted on 7-10-07 that is in the driveway is lowered? It sure looks like it when you compare it. Don't know. http://i78.photobucket.com/...rmulaGT/DSC00554.jpg

The DeLorean, along with quite a few other cars from the early '80s, were built taller than originally intended to comply with the laws at the time. So just like a lot of Fieros are lowered to bring them back into line with the design, so are many DeLoreans.
As for the window, it's only the little inner window that opens. The rest of it stays closed.
